And she can set records that can't be broken since people won't be able to play five years again. The 5 year players (or six like jobo) need an * next to it, IMO.She'd probably make more $ at Iowa though, right?

Clark has mentioned in multiple interviews that Martin is her best friend. So, does she go out with Martin and Marshall or stick around another year?Next year would be her covid year. Iowa loses Martin, Marshall and the amish Davis girl after this year, I don't think Clark will want to come back for a rebuild. She has her endorsements and those will carry with her to the WNBA.
Quick search shows highest WNBA salary at $241k. I wouldn't be surprised if she makes more.I doubt it. Once you factor in additional endorsement deals she will probably make more money in the WNBA. How much is the Swarm throwing at her?

Not necessarily. If she lands a shoe deal with Nike, that will definitely put her over the top. I really think she has an opportunity to do something really special at the pro level. She'd probably make more $ at Iowa though, right?

I watched the second half last night. There's just not enough pieces around Clark for Iowa to be an elite team this year. She'll win quite a few games on her talent alone, but they have a ceiling in my opinion, and it's lower than last year's.
I don't know how you could possibly know if there are good pieces or not. Identifying their abilities would require them to touch the ball.
The rare times they do they have no idea what to do with it. At least Czinano knew what to do when she got the ball.
Turn around and shoot a layup? The rare times they do they have no idea what to do with it. At least Czinano knew what to do when she got the ball.
It really is that simple...but watch the last 2 minutes of the game from last night and you'll be amazed.Turn around and shoot a layup?
Lol oh I know. I'm just saying how crazy it was that Czinano basically had to do absolutely nothing of note and was highly successful and somehow they have no one that can fill that void now.It really is that simple...but watch the last 2 minutes of the game from last night and you'll be amazed.
Czinano is an old-school post player; get the ball, pivot, and shoot. Stuelke is a finesse player (per Lisa Bluder), and when you have a 6'2 finesse player going against a 6'6 physical post in Ayoka Lee, you see the results. The rare times they do they have no idea what to do with it. Iowa's posts are not physical like Czinano was last year, and it will be their bugaboo this year.

ONE BIG TEN COACH ON IOWA: “I think the losses of Czinano and Warnock are going to be bigger than a lot of people expect. Obviously, Caitlin Clark is really good and you have to gameplan against her. They have good pieces around her, but do they go double big? Does Stuelke play the 4 or the 5?
She's on a bigger stage being on a contending team in college than she would be in the WNBA. If Russia hadn't invaded Ukraine going pro and signing with a Russian team during the WNBA off season would be a no brainer. Griner was making like $3M over there. The salary isn't really the deal breaker though. All of the big money is made on endorsement deals.
The Hawkeye way is to blame the refs although they seem to be leaning towards CC bravely hoisting 52% of their field goals while fighting off the plague. There is always an excuse besides getting outplayed or giving credit to the other team.
