Fallout from the football racial allegations...Kirk said he had to go. 
5 years ago and he talked to the Regents about retiring in the summer. Does this still fit the clone fan narrative?
I would be curious to see if Harreld recoups the salary he gave up in July to help with University finances.
He was a fraudulent hire to start with, led from one train wreck to another and now is putting up the white flag.

Are you going to tell us now what a great president he had been? It's not cyclone v hawk thing, at least not for me. I have friends & colleagues on the faculty & staff over there. They were not happy when his appt was forced on them any more than when we got stuck with Leath. Both times the BoR ignored the input from the University search committees.

I didn't realize it was 5 years. I thought it was only a couple years he had been at the post. Just seemed like it was too soon for someone to be appointed in such a position and then leave.
What narrative was I trying to create?
I put the KCCI article under the Iowa Football recruiting thread earlier this morning. Seemed the right place since the do have to "recruit" a new president along with the fact KKKirk is his boss and Barta.... Barta is not really anything though.
