I can't stand watching this guy play basketball. He complains about every call, flops everytime a defender backs into him, and throws up circus shots. I know he gets the job done for the most part but he is like an unathletic Mike Taylor. Still don't know how he got a scholarship even to UNI.

There's a reason the top scorer in iowa high school history didn't get offers from ISU and Iowa - it's because he got that record taking 30 shots a game and doing all the stuff you mentioned in your post. The only reason UNI looked at him was b/c of the record - nothing else.

Curtis Stinson is playing professionally and has talent. His circus shots went in. Comparing those two makes me sick

Curtis Stinson was a heck of a player at ISU. I don't know why he got such a bad rep but I think alot of it had to do with his head coach. It wasn't his fault he wasn't disciplined properly.

wow! have you guys already forgotten the hurtin he put on us? i mean, we made him look like larry legend. the guy might not be the best player, but to say that he shouldnt even be playing for uni is ludicrous. 27 pts on 6- 12 FGA 7 reb 6 a. i think those numbers speak for themselves.

I guess that's the way you play when your first name means two or more brook.

LMAO...this is sooo funny to me cuz all the uni students I am around up here absolutely hate him too...I don't care for him either, but idk who else they would put at PG right now.

McKowen is a real gamer. Whines, talks trash, has the attitude, but in high school couldn't be touched, not even by the officials. His personality is truly unlikeable.
Unfortunately he shot like a girl all through high school ( release way too low ) and could make a few shots. This bad habit cost him when he went looking for scholarships. Cost him too in his collegiant experience. He's adjusted his shot but it's not as accurate as his high school days. Meanwhile UNI has Viet on the bench. Ouch!

Last year we had the muscular guards in Will and Curtiss. This year we have the skinny guards.
