Brett Favre - Packers

Cowboys go down...they've got two on the road ... at Carolina and at Washington (who's defeating the Giants 22-3).The Pack has the Bears in Chicago, then at home against the Lions. I like the Packers' chances to get the home field advantage. Especially since the 'boys looked pretty mediocre today.

I'd agree, neither schedule looks that daunting - the Boys and Pack will be favored in both of their games. But I'd say Washington is a little tougher than Chicago at this point and the Lions and Panthers are both kittens.

Am I reading record books wrong? From NFL.com

Most Passes Had Intercepted, Season
42 George Blanda, Houston, 1962
35 Vinny Testaverde, Tampa Bay, 1988
34 Frank Tripucka, Denver, 1960

Upon further review, you are absolutely correct sir.

I was pulling from an anouncer I heard a few seasons back saying Brett's 29 was a record. After looking it up it seems had they must have been saying it was a "record high for Brett"

just like TDs and completions right? :skeptical:

They did all occur within approximately the same time.

The bottom line when looking at his records is this: Favre has consistently played at a high enough level to start in the NFL for this long.

Show me one QB who consistently throws more INTs than TDs and still has a starting job. I say his INT is a longevity record because of how long he has played (and good enough to play). The previous record holder threw about half as many passes as Favre did to reach.

Rex Grossman?:biglaugh:

Packers Rule.. to bad so many teams are stepping it up this year.. it will be big battle in the playoffs

I don't know what you're talking about if you're meaning NFC teams stepping it up. I thought the NFC was bad last year when my Bears won it but this year is even worse in my opinion. Last year Seattle and New Orleans were dang good, along with the same Dallas team who is doing so well this year. This year it's Dallas and Green Bay and then a bunch of leftover dog crap. Who are you worried about playing before the NFC Championship??

Also #1 in aiding opposing DEs to set the NFL sack record.

Farve is no doubt a great talent, but that was bush league.
