Wow. During his interview on ESPN News after the game he made a comment about how good the environment was.

somebody else told me he was giving props to the crowd,

which was it?

I could tell he was enjoying giving the crowd a look after his dunk and that stuff isn't too bad, IMO. Dropping f bombs isn't very classy but at least he didn't give the double one finger salute as he ran off the court like Gooden did.

Yeah, he's an easy one to dislike.

Loved the effort today. It is tough to swallow the loss when we hang even with them for basically the entire game.

He was clearly showing up the crowd. So were several other players. This is the primary difference between Roy's teams and Self's teams. Roy would never have stood for that and Self's teams consistently have shown no class whatsoever, a direct reflection Bill Self and his staff. He should hope that he doesn't step off a curb in front of me driving down the street, I wouldn't even flinch for the brake.

If I was playing in a hotly contested game on the road in crunch time and jumped 12 feet in the air to slam down an alley oop, I imagine I might be a tad excited as well. I generally don't like Rush either, but he was probably just hyped up. I'd rather have Kareem Rush on my team anyday and twice on Sunday's anyway.

it wasn't the jumping up and down after the dunk. It was standing on the cyclone at center court with his finger in the air that did for me.

If our guys were celebrating on the court of an away team - we'd be praising them. Don't expect the visiting team to just do nothing after making a good play in our house.

I don't think it's celebrating thats bothering anyone. Well, me anyway. It was the F*** You he gave Cyclone Alley

i got some nasty glares from Sascha Kaun before a free throw coming out of a timeout...but then again, I more than deserved them...

I'll bet you were pretty worried abou that guy! I make it a point to not get too worried about any man named Sahsa.

Boohoo!! I mean these guys get cussed at by the fans, even the 50 year old with kids right behind me, but they are held to a higher standard than the fans who swear at them all game? I don't get it.

Wait...you're saying it's ok for fans to swear at players...but not ok for players to retaliate.

That makes no sense.

Both fans and players are people - just filling different roles inside the arena. Both should exhibit respect. It's foolish fans that play a part in starting brawls like the one we saw in the NBA a few years ago. No, I never said it was ok for players to enter the stand - just stating fans are not without fault and responsibility when things go sour.

Maybe you can bribe a Cy-Ride driver...

I about guarantee that Rush and clan are going to be hoping that they don't meet up with us in the Big 12 Tournament.

When Cy covers two-thirds of the court... where would you like him to stand? I did not see this first hand but I find it hard to believe this was a T.O. like situation.

Everyone is disappointed and its easy to notice Rush's antics. I wrote a blog entry about it and now that I'm with a clearer mind a day later I am still not changing my opinion of Rush's gestures to the crowd. Win and get out of the opposing crowds sight. Generally, coaches practice this.
