Bracketology 2024

Just to put a little more granularity on this since the Committee does...

ISU
Q1a 4-3
Q1b 0-1
Q2a 0-1
Q2b 2-0
Q3 2-0
Q4 9-0

Bama
Q1a 1-5
Q1b 2-1
Q2a 4-1
Q2b 0-0
Q3 5-0
Q4 4-0

Wisky
Q1a 2-3
Q1b 4-2
Q2a 2-1
Q2b 2-1
Q3 1-0
Q4 5-0

I still think one of those Q1A Wisky wins is MSU on the road, right? That's maybe the biggest mystery of the year. How oe why NET thinks MSU is a good team. They aren't.

No. First Four (11-11), First round (6-11), Second round (3-6)

This is technically right, but nobody really views the first 4 games as the first round. First round for 99 percent of fans will always be the first 32 games while the 2nd round is the next 16.

Lol! Even when you agree with someone it seems like you are telling them they are wrong about something.

Zero idea why net has sparty so high. Only thing that was explained to me is that there are a ton of “quality losses” which is some SEC football level logic.

Wisconsin won’t be ranked anytime soon so that’s over.

Less that then some sizable wins over good teams (20 over Butler, 24 over Baylor on a neutral court, 12 over Indiana St.) and decent, NET top 100 teams (31 over Penn State, 18 over Rutgers, etc.).

Bwahahaha. One of the funniest (and accurate) things I've seen on this board. Perfectly stated.

Agreed, but it’s a lot of losses. The JMU one is the only actually “bad” one. I get that sparty always plays an extremely hard non con but usually there is another win or two to show from it.

Zero idea where sparty ends up seeded, team has potential to go on a run or lose their very first game. Zero idea.

ISU I have as a two seed making a deep run, you guys better give your coach one hell of an extension as soon as possible because he’s easily a top 5 coach.

Giving big pay raises isn't hoe we work, for the most part. He will get a raise, but if he's who I think he is I think he'll want raises for the assistance coaches more.

The Big 12 is the premier basketball conference in the country by a mile. Iowa State has one of the best fan bases and best arenas in the conference. This is a destination job for TJ. It is home to him. His wife was an incredible player at Iowa State. TJ wants to turn Iowa State into an elite program and coach here for decades. Pay him what he deserves absolutely but not worried about him leaving whatsoever. He is just getting started.

I agree, just didn't put it in those terms. I just think he'll take what is given and say I want my assistants to get what they deserve.

No I 100% agree with what you said. I also think people need to understand how incredible of a coach he is. He took two rag tag groups with scraps as recruits and went to back to back NCAA tournaments including a sweet 16. Now that his recruits are starting to infiltrate the program he is putting a top ten team on the court in late February. The core of the program back next year as well.
