Who are your upset specials? I really like Charleston but that SDSU defense I think will level the playing field. I don't like Oral Roberts to beat Duke. Drake over Miami seems trendy because of Miami's hurt player but dunno...something about that just screams Miami still wins. Louisiana seems to be trendy over Tennessee...I'm not buying it.

I really want to pick Kent State over Indiana.

I really wanted to pick FAU but Memphis is playing really well.

I think Iona/UCONN will be closer than many think.

And honestly KS will stick with Xavier for a lot longer than many thing as well.

Who's hurt for Miami? I thought they could be a big sleeper pick to win it all because of their efficiency. I really like Larananga as a fan. I hate Drake drew them would've preferred st Mary's or SDSU

Omier. He basically was a double double machine. 14 pts and 9.5 boards a game.

I'm usually a big upset guy but this bracket feels pretty chalky to me.

The only one I really like is Florida Atlantic. If they can get past Memphis, they'll beat Purdue but Memphis is a really bad matchup for them.

I'm surprised more pundits arent picking Texas to win. They don't have great outside shooting and when they struggle their shot selection can be suspect, but the collection of athletes and talent rivals anyone. Multiple guys that can create and get to the basket and Disu is playing his best basketball. When they are focused they can play excellent defense and shut down anyone.

My final 4: Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, and UCLA.

I picked Drake and Charleston each to pull 5/12 upsets. I picked the Cyclones to make the Sweet 16, and the Hoks to lose in the first round. My bracket usually sucks, but those were my picks.

Haven't focused much on it, but I never like the trendy upset picks, especially in the 5/12 matchup. Sorry Drake and Oral Roberts

UPSETS:
Charleston over San Diego St.
Utah St. over Mizzou
Providence over Kentucky
VCU over St. Mary's
ASU/Nevada winner takes out TCU

-I got ISU losing to Texas in the Sweet 16.
-Virginia knocks out Bama in the Sweet 16 and then beats Baylor in the Elite 8, on their way to lose against Kansas in the title game.

A nugget (via CBS Sports): Creighton hasn't beaten a tournament team since Feb. 11 (UConn). (Granted ISU has only 3 wins in that stretch, but...)

Separate note: Saint Mary's/VCU combined score is probably gonna be similar to ISU's first two tournament games last year.

I'm tempted to take Memphis to the Elite 8

Might be worth a shot. Memphis seems most likely of this season's 8's to do it, partly because I think Purdue is vulnerable as 1, but also Duke could get in the way.

I like to look for an 8 seed each season that might reach S16 or beyond. I don't always see one with "potential" ... and even if I do, I often chicken out. I took the plunge last year w/ UNC and it was one of the few majors risks that actually came to fruition in my bracket. (But I had NC falling to UK in Elite 8, and we all know what happened prior to that.
