As other also posted, I thought Trevone Boykin looked good last week. His numbers weren't good against our defense, but we got a lot of pressure on him and he was able to scramble for several key first downs, when we didn't get to him. I'm skeptical that Pachall (or whatever his name is) would have done much better (if at all) given how much pressure we got on the QB. Boykin's numbers tonight look similar to a Pachall night and his efficiency (178.1) is also similar.

TCU was a good win. No bad losses yet other than disappointment because they could have win. Reason to be optimistic.

When looking at our wins/losses this year, especially in light of today's games, you have to be pretty pleased.

Wins
Tulsa is now 6-1
Iowa is 4-2 and leading the Leaders Division (laughable, but true)
TCU soon to be 5-1 and beating Baylor on the road pretty handily.

Losses
Tech is 5-1 and blew out #5 WVU today
K-State.... close loss to the #6 ranked team and probably the best or second best team in a tough B12

Today was disappointing, and so was the Tech loss, but I can't complain too much about how the season has gone so far with how our schedule is shaking out.

I'm thinking the same thing. We MUST win one of the next two games but if we want a good year we need to win both of the next two games.

One thing I just noticed from the top of my head. Ignoring W. Ill our combined five opponents are 24-5. WOW, plus we accounted for three of those losses with the only other losses being Iowa to C Mich. (really how bad is the little 12) and T. Tech to Oklahoma which makes our opponents 24-2.

Yeah, our schedule looks pretty ridiculous right now and to think we haven't played Texas, OU or WVU yet. It's nuts.

This is exactly how I feel. I really believed we would win today and was extremely disappointed with the loss. However, when you look at the games of the teams we have played against so far this year, I really think we are one of the better B12 teams and Top 25 in the nation. TCU is rolling with a 4 touchdown lead against Baylor right now. How could we possibly be underdogs against Baylor unless we blow the OSU game (which I don't think we will)?

And everyone is frustrated with our offense right now, but this Baylor offense has put up huge numbers this year, and TCU is mostly shutting them down. Our offense may look pretty good over the next few weeks.

We should beat Baylor.

And our offense should look amazing in doing so, holy crap Baylor D is bad.

Let's assume we beat Baylor at home and win @ KU (I know we shouldn't chalk up any wins in this conference, but bare with me).....

That gets us to 6 wins.

Then you also have:

@ Okie State
OU
@ Texas
WVU

I think we can spit these 4. Winning one should definitely happen, but 2 is certainly possible. That would put us at 8-4 and help change the recruiting narrative for CPR because now you can sell the improved trajectory of the program and improved prospects for bowl games, etc.

TCU physically whupped these guys tonight.

Can't get on a transitive score run here, but they sure didn't whup us.

I think this discredits the idea that TCU 'lost because Pachall didn't play'. I thought that TCU had some good plays against us, clearly they can still play well enough to beat another B12 opponent.

Pachall was suspended game week too, Boykin's had time to work with the 1's.
