I just noticed the two semi's are on new years eve at 3 and 7. LOVE that idea.

I hate it. 3pm games means you'd need to use a day of vacay to see it all. 7 pm means you'd have to skip traveling or preparing for nye plans.

Keep in mind that the Rose Committee doesn't necessarily have to take the higher ranked team. If they think that one fanbase will travel better and spend more, that's the team they'll go with.

I believe they have been quoted that they will take the highest ranked team.

And between Iowa and Ohio State, thats nearly a wash. Ohio State fans wont be excited as they had aspirations of another National Championship, and Iowa fans will show up in droves.

Theh've been quoted as calling that the strong presumption. They''ve also been quoted referring to "extraordinary circumstances" that enable them to go a different direction. I don't think the extraordinary circumstances thing would get brought up if they weren't at least considering it.

Rose Bowl is taking Iowa. For those who enjoy Hawkeye tears... don't get your hopes up. (Until Thursday, that is.)
