Bowl Situation Thread

Where are you haring that the conference even meet to pick? And what do they pick? I thought the bowls did all the picking?

I've asked a few times about how this process actually works, but still haven't heard. Are all the bowl and conference people in a big smokey room somewhere? Is there a pecking order for making bowl choices?

I meant committees...not conferences. Each bowl committee meets to pick once they know what teams are available. There is a pecking order

BCS
Cotton
Alamo
Insight
Holiday
Car Care
Pinstripe

That has to be the worst bowl game ever. If you're going to play somewhere cold, it may as well be NYC or DC rather than Boise, ID. On top of that we had to play the home team.

It'd be like if Nebraska hosted a bowl game.

Did you go? 2nd best bowl location fun wise besides the insight bowls. Great people and great city. Prestige not great, but as ****** cold bowls go it was all right. Now, if only we didnt have to play the home team or could have won.

Seems like there will be a swell for B12 teams, those in the conference for next year.

OSU to NC game and KSU to BCS and Mo/aTm snub. I feel it coming. God is with the B12.

That guy very well could not understand the meaning of subliminal and be misusing it. He does go to Mizzou.

Assuming ISU goes to bowls on coastlines I am concerned the location will hurt our attendance and ISU will lose some reputation for traveling well. I may buy tickets to the game even if I can't go to the game just to help ISU reach its ticket requirements.

If Holiday picks Mizzou over ISU, they have made a $$$$$$$ mistake. All for a 6 win team vs. 7 win team.

Im guessing Mizzou would travel better this year. We have to travel reasonably close to them right?

I remember having very nice but not HUGE crowds in Az last year or in the 2 Indy bowls.

Holy Over Reaction people.. calm down and let this play out, we're going to a bowl game regardless.

I think we're all well aware we're going to a bowl game. This is the fun part. Let us worry about unnecessary things.
