Bowl Situation Thread

I would also guess that if OSU jumps Bama that the Sugar won't select Michigan as its other team meaning either the Fiesta after taking Stanford would have to or the Orange would.

I don't understand why people would want SF to be our bowl. That bowl is lower tier than any of the Big 12 Bowls.....

Tier doesnt matter all that much. Bowl money is mostly pooled and split in the big 12. I'll take it over NYC any day.

Ok fine, I would prefer the Fiesta Bowl, but given our reasonable possibilities I would like to see San Fran (assuming San Diego is out of the picture).

Wisconsin wins a close game does Michigan State fall below Michigan in the rankings if not I think the B12 may just get 2 teams into teh BCS

I still don't see how Michigan moves up. Baylor blows out Texas, Wisky/MSU trade spots at least...should jump Michigan anyhow since they didn't win their division, LSU beat Georgia like everyone thought they would, Houston loses. None of these teams should drop below Michigan and put them in though.

I must be in the minority, but I have no interest in us going there. I would much rather have a Big 12 bowl, it carries more prestige than having to go to a leftover bowl, and one of the lower rated ones at that.

If it isn't Dallas, I am going to be bummed. I already have four hotel rooms reserved!

I think the Dallas ship sailed when they realized they could take SMU.

I think there is a 90% chance we play in one of these 3 games

1. Rutgers in NYC
2. North Carolina in DC
3. UCLA in San Francisco

I hink most outside of NYC want to go to a B12 bowl. they are saying if the BCS only takes 1 Big12 teams and ISU is left with NYC or SF or DC they would rather go to SF or DC over NYC

It is completely selfish. No chance I could go to NY. Could maybe swing a trip to San Fran as I have a friend that lives in Richmond.

Also be interesting to see where TCU ends up. If Clemson jumps them they maybe that keeps TCU at 17/18 and out of the top 16???

So who are the BCS teams now?

ACC: Clemson
Big East: West Virginia
Big Ten: Wisconsin
Big 12: Oklahoma State
Pac-12: Oregon
SEC: LSU

At-larges: Alabama, Stanford, _______, ________

Let's assume OSU doesn't jump 'Bama (God I hope I'm wrong).

Rose: Oregon vs. Wisconsin
Fiesta: Oklahoma State vs. ________
Orange: West Virginia vs. Clemson
Sugar: ________ vs. _________
Nat'l championship: LSU vs. Alabama

I think the Sugar would get first pick of the at-larges since they are losing their conference (SEC) to the title game. But I'm not sure.

I guess I could understand that; although I really don't think NYC would be as bad as everyone seems to think. And the SF bowl makes me just thing blah. Going to a bowl that is lower tier than any of the Big 12 bowls and playing a 6-7 ucla team? No thanks.
