I think its unfortunate because most defenders lower their head on instinct. Hate to see him get tossed for that.

This rule is single handily ruining the game. That's insane. Letter of the law or not, that is just stupid to have that hit as an ejection-level hit. The rule was based around the neck and head injuries and they warped it into any sort of crown hit.
