Bowen Born

This thread is on the fast track to the Mt. Rushmore of CF ridiculousness.

Why? Because people want a forum to talk about one of the best high school players in the state? No one is saying he is the second coming of Steph Curry. A Clayton Custer or Jordan Bohannon type player, quite possibly, though. And God knows we could have used one of those this year.

Last night's game was the talk of every local sportscast. Two division 1 bound kids who have forged a nice little rivalry. R-E-L-A-X....

Clayton Custer was a highly recruited kid. That's a terrible comparison lol

Bowen could be a very nice player when it's all said and done but there's a reason there aren't high major schools offering him. Comparing Custer to Born is absolutely not a fair comparison, and Clayton didn't blow up until his redshirt junior year of college. Imagine the outrage on here if we took Bowen and he sat on the bench for 3 years before receiving quality minutes. The people on here saying we missed on him would be saying he's taking up a roster spot.

Actually the people on this board would be questioning why he is not getting playing time. See Terrance Lewis

He just outplayed our 4-star top 60 kid, completely worked him on the court, score board, and stat sheet.

No big deal though.
I love Born, but Foster does not care about HS basketball all that much. His effort isn't as great in those settings. He will get his points when he wants to, but generally he's not that engaged.

Let me give you a quick rundown of the number of players under 6 foot on each Big 12 roster:

Baylor- 0
Iowa State- 0
KU- 0
K-State-0
OU- 0
OSU- 0
TCU- 1 (Quinton Uribe, has yet to appear in a game)
Texas- 0
Texas Tech- 0
WVU-1 (Spencer Macke, averaging 1.3 ppg)

I believe I counted 4 players that were listed right at 6' 0", and the only real contributor I could find was Jordan McCabe who goes at 6'0.

That isn't very comforting. Hopefully he cares a little more when he gets here.

I've seen him play AAU vs high school and can say when he's engaged, he's a beast. His team is not great this year, and I just don't think he cares that much.
