Boston Bombers Hat Logo

Can somebody tell me what happened with all the shooting on the 2nd suspect when he was in the boat? There was quite a few rounds fired when they realized he was in the boat. Did the suspect fire at the officers or did the officers just open fire on the boat? If they just opened fire for no reason I'm a little disappointed in them. Not that I don't think suspect #2 shouldn't face the death penalty but officers shouldn't just open up fire without knowing who is in the boat.

They were so excited they forgot to read Miranda rights.

Thanks for the information ... if that is the case they should have just tossed a couple of grenades in the boat and called it a night.

They wanted him alive so they could find out the reasoning behind the attack. Kill the guy and we never know why this happened. Never know if they acted alone, or there is a bigger group behind the bombings.

One "expert" commentator said the purpose was two fold, keep him pinned down at that spot so he wouldn't flee and keep his head down so he wouldn't shoot back.

Seriously people...if the government was going to conspire to pull something off like this, you can go ahead and assume they would make sure that EVERYTHING matches up as far as numbers on a hat and color of a book bag.

Oh, I'm not going conspiracy nut on this one. These two did from all the evidence I saw.

Personally I think a bag the actually HELD the bomb would be more shredded than that. To my untrained eye that looks more like something that took damage...not held it. It's had to see the whole picture but if you were to show me that bag out of context that's what I would assume.
This. After seeing what the bomb did to people's limbs and surrounding buildings, the backpack should have been disintegrated... or at the very least, caught on fire and burned to ashes. Unless, perhaps, they used a fire retardant backpack made of kevlar...

It was really Ricky Rubio!

uggghh...the government can't decided if they want creamy or crunchy peanut butter at craft services, think they are just gonna get together all of a sudden to blow up Boston?

A couple of points. If that bag held the bomb, the minute it went off the bag would have ripped open (as shown) and been flattened against the ground. Once it split open the force of the bomb would have skimmed over it as it was flat to the ground.

Second... back packs are in fact made out of fire retardent material.

I don't want to go all Alex Jones but someone explain or feel free to tell me I'm wrong but that's not the same logo on the bomber who was wearing the white hat in these photos.

Photo credited as being suspect #2 leaving area after bomb exploded with what appears to be a numeral "3" on the side :

NVM: found another that matches the 3:

The first photo looks fake. If the government would have had that clear of a photo of Suspect #2, they would have released that instead of the blurry ones they did end up releasing.

This is what I was thinking. Nothing else in that photo is that clear, so eithe the 3 is an optical illusion based on how the pixels are falling, or my first thought when viewing it was that it was "Shopped"
