This!!! I have the same set up. I installed new floors this summer, had the d*ck with some ductwork, move/change outlets, put in a bunch of shiplap and new window trim. She said “hey, what do you think about painting the non-shiplapped walls on the main level something lighter?” I said “you go right ahead”.
