Bohannon out for year

I hope that the team and coaches actually circle the Iowa game on the calendar next year. They were embarrassed this year.
They won't. They've shown no inkling that they care two squats about Iowa. Until they do, expect more slaps to the face from this unathletic, deranged coached team next year.

I realize that you posted this with the hope that he transfers, but it won’t matter for the result against the clones in 2020 if that is what you truly care about.

Clones will be favored about 720 days from now when we head back to Ames.

I honestly don't care what he does. If anything I'm leaning towards hoping he doesn't transfer

Really? What game did Naz skip so he could play Iowa? I will anxiously await your reply.
Who cares? Would you have rather played Iowa without him? The Iowa game was early enough in our schedule that Naz didn't have to skip another game to play it. Would we have had him skip one if he needed to? Probably not, but neither you nor I know that for sure.

I mean, are we rooting for kids to get injured now so we don't have to face them? Is that what we're doing? Of course Bohannon and Pemsl want to play against us. It's a big game. It should be a big game for us to, but we didn't play like it and suffered the consequences. We get excited to play Seton Hall, or Auburn or any other major conference team, but not Iowa?

If Bohannon doesn't transfer he will go down as an Iowa legend. An HM All Conference player who can't defend going down as a legend would be so fitting for your basketball program

He will also be the Big10 all time leading 3 pt shooter.

He played the full slate before that. He didn't sit out any little sisters of the poor games just to make it to the Iowa Game. People forget that.

Long only played 8 games total, he could have actually played 2 more games and kept his RS (As ISU played 31 games that year), but decided to shut it down after the Iowa game

The difference is Niang was one of the best players in the country and is in the NBA. Bohannon is an honorable mention big ten player that's playing career will be over in 2-3 years.

It's over now.

Wow, dude that guy must have really hurt your feelings? How many screen names have you been through since then?

I can't believe people are criticizing the way this is handled. If the medical staff determined his hip(s) could handle a handful of games but not the grind of an entire season, why not maximize how much you could play without jeopardizing a full season of eligibility? I think it's perfectly reasonable.

Also, to those criticizing him for sitting a few games against cupcakes, again, this is just good planning. They didn't need him to beat them. So let him play in as many meaningful games as possible then shut him down when he hits his quota.

I do hope someone has an eye on his long term health. Hip injuries have long term impact.
