Bohannon "Lames" Tweet

Honestly probably not. A planned thing like the shoes is pathetic and just cries of desperation to create something. Especially when you have to make sure you get all the media ready and around you first.

Had Monte or any Cyclone done the same exact thing in the exact same way, I would call it forced and lame the same as I think this one is. A good troll job is Reggie Miller's choke signal against the Knicks. Wasn't planned or forced at all, but rather in the moment and way more impact. Bohannon's schtick is all forced way too hard and not landing that well truthfully.

I thought Monte mentioned having some special celebration planned for Carver when the Cyclones won as a senior. Until they lost.

If Monte Morris would've gotten his chance to do that at Carver he'd have a statue in Ames right now.
The problem with Bohannon’s trolling is it just seems so manufactured. Like he lays in bed at night trying to think of what to do or say. Niang was good at smack bc he just let it happen and his timing was perfect. Bohannon should have just done the shoes thing and not copied the kiss. Once you start copying people, it loses its luster. The shoes were original, but it was so long after the game was over he needed twitter to spread it. A “Niang level” of trolling would have been tossing his shoes into the crowd as the final buzzer sounded.

Did he do that?

Exactly. I don't know if that is true or not, but if it was this big planned thing, I would have hated it because it would be so obvious it was planned. It's why Georges' kiss was sooooo good because you could tell it was absolutely just in the moment and in the flow of the game. It wasn't some pre-planned BS thing. Remember the lame sharpie and cell phone TD celebration in the NFL from Owens and Horn several years ago? Yeah, there is a reason most people thought those were lame.

See this would have been EPIC! Or better yet, checked out of the game and stomped on the I-State logo on the way off or acted like he was peeing on it or something. In the moment and just off the cuff is how it's done.

Yes, he did. Didn't happen, and I'm glad. Like others have said, planned trolling is forced trolling...and it rarely comes out the way the person hopes. If you're happy about his shoes, well, good for you I suppose.

No I meant Niang. You said a Niang level troll would've been tossing his shoes into the stands at the final buzzer. Did Niang ever do that?
No, he didn’t. I’m just saying if Bohannon wanted to do something with better timing and more attention from the crowd, he should have done that.

That was why Niang was so good at smack. His timing was a lot better and he didn’t force anything.

Hmm. Ok.

Haha. I'm not a fan of trash/smack/crap, just to be clear. Not a huge fan of this by Jorbo. But I have a suspicion that if the reverse happened and an ISU player signed his shoes and left them on the floor at Carver he'd quickly reach legend status among a lot of the people who are hating on what happened tonight. Guess I could be wrong.

yeah no kidding. When you are just walking down the hall and take a sip of coffee in front of a picture, something just off the cuff, is great trolling.

Some idiots would absolutely eat it up, but honestly I think many on the ISU side would be like, "Ummm ok?" Also, it really matter who the player is. There was a CLEAR rivalry between the Hawk fans and Georges. Just go look at his twitter from years past and even now. ISU fans honestly just thought Jorbo looked (which he does) like a preppy douche, but he isn't someone the fans truly have cared about because he's really pretty irrelevant. It would have been like Diante Garrett or Scott Christopherson from our end doing it. Kind of like, "Ok but until the last few days you aren't nor have been a thought in the Hawkeye fans' minds. Confused at what angle you are going for." Georges has a few years of build up with Hawk fans leading up to the kiss, as well as being a VERY prevalent player on the national scope.
