Bo Williams

it would be amazing but why wouldnt he be in the isu network instead of the des moines network
 
One of the recruiting sites has him listed as born in 1981, a 26 year old freshman. Is there a story behind this or is the birthdate and age wrong?
 
Sometimes that directory isn't updated very quickly. I had a couple friends come here last fall and their names weren't in it until a few weeks after school had started...
 
Wow. That is pretty old to still be playing football in college. Hopefully his hip doesn't go out or anything like that. haha. I don't care how old the players are. If they are good and they are able to play college ball then sign them up!
 
This would be great news after our recent defects to NU and KU....both by the way i wish long and worthless injury filled careers....

On Bo......what i'm a lil bit confused about is this....If the facebook info is accurate and he is in Ames, he could already be enrolled and ready to start taking classes...He don't have to wait until the signing day of Feb 6th. I wonder if this is info being held intentionally to make a big splash? I hope there's others now at this point and i still contend Chiz has a few recruits up his sleeve that he don't want out there.

Keeping a few potential players covert to make a push near the end of recruiting and get the energy around the program again....

Common Chiz - we want Williams, we want Wright, we want some playmakers dont care offensive or defensive.....

Here's a few JC names i think were interested in...
Calvin Robinson S 3 year of eligibility
Bowser - WR
Millard - WR
Bedford - DE

got some time, interested to see where things fall.....

Honestly, this was probably kept under wraps by the coaching staff for a reason. I really hope cyclone fanatics' investigative prowess don't screw this up.
 
Even if he is enrolled, for some reason I don't think the coach can comment on a particular player until they sign. Wasn't that the case with the guys that came from Utah a few years ago (Nickel and those 2 huge brothers that couldn't move)
 
I hope this is true. There is no way I would have ever thought we would have a shot at him.

look at Chris Weinke, he won a heisman and he was almost 30...ok 28 but close enough

I don't give a rip how old he is if he can run the ball. I am sure Ladanian Thomlinson is about 27 years old. Does that mean you would not want him as a Cyclone if he still had some eligibilty left. Even if he sucks when he get's here. At least he has a cool name.
 
If he is freezing his *** off in Iowa I would think it is too late for another school to do anything about it... but if there is a reason the coaching staff doesn't want this out please delete the thread as soon as possible. I wouldn't want to be responsible for hurting the football team.
 
If he is at Iowa State- I don't think that the staff is intentionally keeping it a secret. They probably just don't feel the need to make any special announcements. It's not like he will be able to play on next year's team.

Would be a nice addition for the '09 team.
