I don’t wear/need glasses, but I work a lot on the computer. Have lately been getting bad headaches/eye pains when on for too long. Does anyone use blue light glasses? How well do they work for you?

I bought some cheap ones off of Amazon because I don’t want to spend $150 on something if they don’t work, but feel like I’m going to obviously get cheap quality with cheap pricing. If they work well enough I might be willing to throw down money for some actual nice ones.

They absolutely worked for me.

I bought a couple of pairs of Optitek computer/reader eyeglasses at Staples a couple of years ago. I don't know if they help or not. I'm not really troubled by headaches, eye strain or whatever; I don't know if that's due to the glasses or not.

I asked optometrist last time I was in and she basically said there's not substantial evidence they help. I haven't done much research though.

Those that use them tend to swear by them. And considering how I tend to have a computer screen in front of me whether at work or home and the eye strain I feel as a result, I've thought about giving them a try myself.

Even if it’s a placebo effect, if that placebo helps me feel better after an 8 hour day on the computer, it might be worth it.

Sometimes they can give your glasses a minor minor tint to them but they do help. Depends who adds the film on them

Get a better monitor. I’d recommend an ips display with a high ppi. That will do more good than getting glasses that probably don’t do anything.

Headaches? Might be WHAT you're reading. Suggest not looking at ANY national or local news for a week, you know, the kind of stuff that makes your head want to explode.

Use the time freed up to stream some porn, something easy on your eyes and brain. ;)

Agree 100%. I work at computer all day. I used them before I wore glasses and now have corrective glasses with blue light filter. If I don't wear them for a day it hurts.

Use them and the blue light reduction settings in your phone/windows.
