Blind Side Blindsided

There's a whole lot of **** that doesn't make any sense. He's in a conservatorship that he doesn't know about but the family didn't seem to be involved with any of his NFL money, contracts or other business dealings and he didn't know anything about it until now? That doesn't make sense. The cool thing is, it's all going to come out so the truth will be out there. The thing about financial transactions is there's almost always a paper trail. Do I think the Tuohys are some great family who only had Ohers best interests in mind? No. Do I think they looked at him as a means for earnings and completely used him for some huge windfall without offering him anything? No, because if that was the case they wouldn't have the statements out there they do without being able to back it up. I really don't think anyone is going to come away looking good from this and my guess is that when everything is laid out, Oher is going to have a really tough time winning this case. People worth that much money don't go into very public litigation. I think Oher thought the same and completely overshot the amount that would make them just settle it.

Regardless of what Oher did or didn’t know at the time, it’s pretty creepy that this family put an 18 year old in a conservatorship and didn’t pay him a dime from a blockbuster film about his life.
He was paid for the movie. Evidently, he quit cashing the checks the last year or so. The funds from these uncashed checks were put into some type of trust in his name.

It doesn't sound like anybody but Sandra Bullock (she actually made less than she would have typically made), the studio and the producers made a huge amount of money from this movie.
