Totally overrated. If you're wife or gf drags you to this expect residuals. I mean there were a couple of good scenes (wink wink). But c'mon. People going coo coo is a tired plotline.
That is all, i needed to vent. thanks.

What, I want to see this movie without my wife. I like me some sweater puppies.......and Mila's Kunis........

i thought it was a really good interesting movie. I'm wouldn't have paid to see it in the theater, but it was pretty entertaining and different.

I couldn't disagree more with the OP.

If you know what you are going to see ... a movie by the same director as PI and Requiem For A Dream ... than you understand that you aren't going to see Star Wars.

That was an art film ... it was an amazing work IMO. Some don't like to think while watching a film, and I get that ... and I'm not trying to sound like a snob here... but do a little homework and go see Little Fockers if you don't want to sit through an art film.

Darren Aronofsky is awesome IMO.

If I needed another reason not to go see the movie, you just provided it for me...

Sorry, I know art is subjective, and maybe this didn't appeal to you, but Black Swan is a pretty great film. It's a movie about people who give their entire lives to their art, and how damaging that can be. A lot has been made of the lesbian scene between Mila Kunis & Natalie Portman, and that WAS pretty hot, but it's so much more interesting than that. Don't go in expecting "Ha, BEWBS. Sweet." You're going to be disappointed.

i have a question about one of the scenes. When she is in the bathroom stall, I am assuming she was vomiting, but it she looked like she was standing up while urinating.

It threw me for a little while, but I was wondering if anyone else thought the same thing.

p.s. I thought it was very good

That was your takeaway of the movie?

I assumed Portman was vomiting, but I really need to see it again. Saw it a few weeks ago, and there are a lot of scenes that I'm still questioning.

Wow, I didn't know "the academy" also followed CF in their spare time. Let me elaborate... You spend the whole movie laying things out, subtle hints, carefully unraveling clues, ect. But in the end... It doesn't really matter because she was going ******* crazy. What's real, what's imagined, who cares. Just like Shutter Island.

I thought it was pretty damn good, I didn't know what to expect really before I saw it but parts of it blew me away.

Haha, if you want a recommendation of a movie you might enjoy more might I suggest anything starring Larry the Cable Guy or any of the Wayans brothers.

I'm sure the original poster sees Jerry Bruckheimer movies the day they come out and has Nic Cage as his favorite actor.

Love Aronofsky's work. The Wrestler, Requiem, etc. Its different.

How is Nic Cage not everyone's favorite actor?

You must be joking? I absolutely loved the movie. It was incredibly intense in multiple ways. I almost went to see it again the next weekend. Natalie Portman is a fantastic actress and does a great job of portraying a dancer who has literally become consumed by her part. I'm sorry if you couldnt get past the ballet parts in the movie that made it seem too "feminine" for you.
