Big news coming

So did the big news ever come out? I followed this thread a little bit when it first started, but it seems like there was never any news.

The original big news was Junior Austin Gomez committing for the class of 2017.

Then it was Kanen Storr and Ian Parker committing for the Class of 2016

I just have him on ignore, but when quoted I'll sometimes jump in on the mocking.

I don't even dislike Schwab or have any issues with any UNI wrestlers. I just think it is funny how a certain totally not Iowa fan, who happens to have admitted they mostly go to Iowa meets and sits in the Iowa section at tournaments while also really liking UNI and thinking ISU is terrible, has been chiming in for years now about how UNI is totally gonna pass ISU in 2012. No, wait. 2013. No, wait 2014. No, wait, 2015. Nope. Definitely 2016. 2016 is the year!

Says the guy who tried to convince everyone that UNI is a more well supported program than ISU then went into hiding when it was shown he was misrepresenting and manipulating the numbers to make his point.

Also, I do not attend Iowa meets. But nice try. Ok, not really. I do attend many UNI meets because the alternative is not attending any college wrestling meets at all.

I don't know why it is sinful to praise the staff for getting good recruits while noting we are still not to the level needed. No doubt it is nice to see the needle pointed up a bit.

It is my hope that someday we stop measuring our program against UNI's. It is a smaller school, less wrestling prestige, less tradition, smaller budget, lower level club team, etc. The fact that our program is closer to theirs than the top programs is what many of us are so disappointed about.

lol, I stopped arguing about UNI's funding because the goalposts kept moving and I wasn't going to get sucked into a never ending internet argument with someone who wasn't arguing in good faith.

And the only reason UNI comes up other than in recruiting threads or during the week we wrestle them is because a certain someone keeps bringing them up. We've been being told for years now how awesome Schwab is and how they're passing us up. But not only has it not happened, but with each year the gap has been growing. It is brought up to make fun of that poster. Becuase the votes were tallied and "mocking" was the agreed upon solution.
