Ooooooooooo. See some epic matches between him and Mejia down the road. ****, Iowa has Renteria too, and he looked really tough against Gomez in Ill State Final.
Just watched this match. What an ending. Also, that was a college level scramble in the first period there.
Gomez is a big time recruit, very excited to have him here!
He's two years behind Simmons and three behind Boston so there's plenty of time to figure that out.

Ryak Finch was similarly regarded coming out of hs. I believe he was #1 at his weight class and in the top 15 overall.
I know Nathan Boston was #1 or #2 at 120 in high school also, but maybe not as highly regarded in the entire class rankings.
I don't recall Finch being in the top 15 (more like 16-20 range), but Gomez is in the 8-15 range. He has a chance to be a top 10 prospect if he keeps it up.
