We already have a big skinny kid committed

I agree. If we want to have a TEAM that doesn't turn over every two years (hopefully that will end) we need to go after the high school kids and less JUCOs. Like I said, you can always add pounds of muscle.

Reilly, Godfrey, and possibly McKnight... added to Noreen... this would be a killer team. Bring in one or both of the Grayers and I would be more than happy with our chances of a winning season next year. Go Mac and Staff....

Mac and Iowa State need to win NOW, not 2-3 years from now which is where JUCO comes in. It is do or die time for this program and coaching regime.

I like the fact we are getting some big men but until we get some higher quality PG play we will not succeed. The most successful teams we had always had a back court duo (sometimes trio) to keep the defense honest. I hope DG and SC can be those guys and maybe someone can come off the bench and help out also.

I want this kid. If you score 35 ppg in high school, then you know how to score regardless of what class you are in. Jon Diebler, Keaton Page...

Unofficially visited Northwestern and Marquette this weekend.

His HS numbers are unreal! Something like 38 points, 16 rebounds 6 assists, 4 blocks, 3 steals per game.

Interesting prospect. Opinions are all over the board on him. He played at a class A school - the smallest in the state. It was a charter school that has a lot of internet based classes.

He finished his career as the state's all-time leading scorer. His school played an uptempo style against usually inferior opponents, so many scoring opportunities. Signed with Boston College this year, but then their coach gets canned so he reopened his recruiting. His coach said that schools like UCLA and Florida had contacted him, but no offer apparently. Tubby at the U of M is looking at him, but again, no offer that I have heard of.

Good shooter, good rebounder (remember that he is generally 6+ inches taller than his competition), but questions abound of how good of an athlete he is.

Here is his team's schedule and results for the year

Some real blowouts in which he played well into the second half.
