Big June Official Visit Weekend 1 Thread

6/9 Uncommitted Visitors:

Xavier Robinson 6’2” 225 Oklahoma City Carl Albert HS
Kid is a total beast. Offers include Notre Dame, OU and OSU (no “t”). Teammate of incoming freshman safety Ta’Shawn James.

WR
Reece Vander Zee 6’5” 190 Rock Rapids Central Lyon HS
Feel free to make your Todd Blythe comparisons here. Though Ben Brahmer’s skills might be apt as well.

Shamar “Mar” Rigby 6’3” 174 St. Petersburg’s (FL) Lakewood Academy
*There’s a chance he didn’t make the trip as scheduled.
Long, has hops, and really elevates to high point the ball. TJ Tampa’s HS.

TE
Witt Edwards 6’5” 210 Wagoner (OK) HS
Talented athlete, reminds me of Hanika. Also plays DE.

DE
Ryan Jenkins 6’4” 230 Albany (GA) Westover School
Good athlete with rangy size, was offered when he got to campus Friday for OV.

CB
James Chenault 5’11” 170 Orlando (FL) Jones HS
Smooth cover guy. Offers include Ole Miss, WVU and Purdue.

Ezaiah Shine 6’1” 180 Port Orange (FL) Spruce Creek
Has burst and change of direction, also plays QB for high school team. Offers include Florida, Kentucky and Ole Miss.

***Both of these kids fit the mold of what this staff has been recruiting the past several years—athletic, with a pile of upside. Note that a third corner is scheduled to visit from Arizona next weekend.

6/9 Visitors Already Committed:

Connor Moberly QB 6’4” 195 Peasant Hill (IA) Southeast Polk HS
Keaton Roskop TE 6’3” 215 Marion (IA) Linn Mar HS

(Will add profile links as the uncommitted guys make noise as they return home)

Any of these guys close to committing? Robinson seems to have genuine interest, but there is stiff competition.

If I were to guess, I’d say that Witt Edwards might be—but he may still want to take his other OV’s (Vandy and Houston, iirc) first as well.

I’d kinda consider OU to be the main competition for Robinson—but they had the #1 RB in the country in this weekend, and another Top 150 guy as well. I think Notre Dame got their two RB’s.

Anyone else, it’s just a matter of how well
things clicked on their visit.
