Big 12-WWE Partnership

I guess my point is I don’t see WWE fans who aren’t college football fans probably aren’t tuning in. And visa versa. Unless this makes schools more money it’s pretty pointless.
Ok. How about a WWE fan who typically follows the SEC? That person might decide to check out the Big 12 Championship Game when he or she might not otherwise. More viewers equals more money when the next media deal for the championship game comes around.

The Big 12 is also looking at Mexico. Playing some games in Mexico. WWE is a global brand. This may be another exposure to Big 12 sports for fans in Mexico.

Again I don’t get what having a few WWE personalities at the game does. You’ll get the absolute diehards, but over than that it’ll be viewed as a gimmick(much like most of the adult world already views the WWE as).

The expansion of COLLEGE sports into another country is just asinine. 1. I don’t think they’ll care or really embrace the college aspect of the game 2. I don’t think international viewership works the same as here in the US. 3. Do they even have access?

Of course it's a gimmick. The marching band is a gimmick. The cheerleaders are a gimmick. Mascots are a gimmick. The pre-game flyover, military hero of the game, free bobbleheads to the first 1,000, all gimmicks. Sports are full of gimmicks. At the end of the day it's show business. It's entertainment and it makes money. I'm not opposed to another partnership (gimmick) that helps makes the whole thing go.

I disagree that expanding markets is asinine. Again, it's a business. Businesses look to expand markets. Will it succeed or fail? I don't know. If it fails I assume it won't continue very long and they will try something else to expand viewership/revenue/money for the programs.

I would like to see Matt Campbell hit steve sarkisan with a chair

Here at Iowa State we know we have to go up the hard side of the mountain. We truly believe in Honor Before Victory.

I'm happy to partner with coach Sark to help lead these young men

*Sark smiles and looks at the crowd*

Wait! Wait! Campbell just pulled out a foreign object! No! No! Don't do it! Don't do it!

*Sark gets color after a cheap shot*

YOU SON OF A *****! GODDAM YOU!

Horns down, *******! It's time for Iowa State to run this town!

"WWE talent will also be present at the game, including Undertaker, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Jade Cargill, and WWE announcer Samantha Irvin."

Was hoping for a CM Punk appearance.
