Question, was it Matharu that should have been thrown out in the first half? I forget which thug the debarski to the ground witha completely cheap move. Should have been a flagrant 2. Any way that changes the game?

It's that kind of team. I'm not sure why we don't have a couple enforcers to put in for two plays. Straighten the game right out.It was.
Ebo didn’t muscle us, she threw her weight at our girls and ran them over.Didn't say anything about the crap Texas has gotten away with. Just that that was the correct call. Too bad the officials didn't apply it across the board.
Oh for sure. This game was lost by us not the officials. We had our chances plenty of times in regulation. It took a heroic effort from Harmon too to pull this out for Texas. As I said going into the game, yes I wanted the win BUT more importantly, just show they can compete with this type of team. Mission accomplished from that standpoint. Onto the much more important tournament.

I agree with you, but my point is at this point we know how they are going to officiate Texas, Baylor, etc. We can only control what we can control. And we 4 straight empty possessions down 63-61 in regulation. And we got a couple solid looks from 3, which is our bread and butter. Have to knock those down.We certainly had our chances, but I also wouldnt say "it wasnt on the refs"
Matharu should've been out of the game after her uncalled flagrant 2, and by OT at least one of Ebo\Gaston should've been fouled out but the refs clearly didn't want to foul either out. You can't tell me that didn't have a huge effect on the end result.
Exactly. we can whine all we want, but i have seen at least 5 lay ups that have been air balled. then we had a complete meltdown in the 3rd quarter on the press. that is like a 10-20 point swing. all on us. I also think the way we play makes it feels like we always get fouled
this game probably swaps us with Texas in seeding. we will slide to 3 and they go to a two.
You said it, and then you didn't. I couldn't believe the referees personally. The funny thing is that Texas acted like they knew it was going to happen, the were overtly physical and practically brutal from start to finish, like we are entitled to be brutal. I don't like to say it, but not a good look for college basketball. We certainly had our chances, but I also wouldnt say "it wasnt on the refs"

Yeah, I thought we tried way to hard to take it into the basket when you knew they were not going to get any calls in there. I agree, when they did get the open shots you just have to knock them down.We had 4 or 5 chances before we eventually tied the game. The opportunity to with this down the stretch in regulation was there. We just didn't get it done.
