Get the best buy logo or tostitos logo on our jersey, every game would be like a bowl game.
While I'm not fond of any of the names you've mentioned, the one thing I will agree with you on is keeping the number of teams out of the name in case we ever have to add/subtract teams again.

Only posting to add to the discussion.. The Great Plains 10 (and also register the GP11 and GP 12 and GP14....) as a thought. Heck, it is as good as some of the others...

I like the idea of having a large company (ie. FedEx) as the the name of our conference for more $$$ per team.

The Heartland Conference (HC)
The Heartland 10 (H10) (HX)
The Midwestern Conference (MWC) (MC)

We could just set aside next year as the year to play the MAC rights to their name. Big XII plays MAC round robin, as much as possible. Whoever wins more games gets their choice of names. Sounds fair to me.
Its called the "Great Plains Athletic Conference" and its NAIA. Not sure if possible, but I don't think the B12 would have to much trouble just getting The Great Plans Conference.
The Great Plains 10 works too.
I think the Great Plains Conference, Heartland Conference, and to a lesser extent the Midwestern Conference (too close to the Mountain West) are good ideas. The rest, I don't care much for. I thought of the Grain Belt Conference. The brewery would have to like that. :yes: Then the Big Ten could become the Rust Belt Conference and the Pac-10 can go to something else (like to hell) and we'd be set. Having numbers in your conference name is starting to become idiotic.
