Big 12 Champion Computer Projection

Hell, I know I’ll freak out. So if I, the most reasonable and positive fan ;), freaks out, the usual suspects will be awful.

Honestly at this stage in the game, I’m having fun thinking about winning the conference but I’m still legit concerned about winning enough to get into the tournament.
You my friend are a bonafide Cyclone fan! Welcome!

Those who freak out and act like the world is ending when a group of 18-22 years old lose a game are the worst.

Especially since said person freaking out had no bearing on the result and isn't part of the team in any way.
Even worse, those that interrupt game thread criticism as acting like the world is ending. That’s freaking out more than the vast majority of what is posted on here.

Having no bearing on the result and isn’t part of the team? Sounds like you’re new to sports and fanatically following a team. Keep your earmuffs handy and let us know your safe word.

There is a difference between being disappointed when ones favorite team loses and freaking out when they lose.

I’ve come to appreciate the entertainment aspect of sports and enjoy when my favorite teams win and get disappointed when they lose, but also understand that it’s just a game I didn’t play in and didn’t affect. There are more important things in my life than how a team I cheer for does, like my family.

I suggest you take a step back and get some perspective if you think freaking out over the result of a sporting event is normal.

My favorite is when you post something in the middle of the game, and then someone (with the benefit of post-game hindsight) goes in and hits 'disagree' on it 2 days later.

Freaking out over the reactions of others watching sports is better?

Given you cannot handle reading message board reactions to sporting events, I have little doubt you were indeed melting down over outcomes to sports. If you want to be continually in hysteria for no reason, that’s your choice. I think you’d be happier otherwise, but perhaps not.

Well that’s an interesting take. Maybe take some time away from the message board and reflect on what’s truest important. I think it might be good for you.

I do not rest easy until Espn bubble watch has us as a lock.

I won't say I don't give a rat's ass about ESPN's opinions about ISU basketball (because I do check what they do have to say, even if at best it's perpetually underrating and at worst outright insulting), but it's not far above that. It's more like glance at the headlines, glance at Lunardi's Bracketology, roll my eyes, close the page. The process usually takes a minute or less.

I don’t get this theme. Weber has already shared in a B12 title previously and took this team to the Elite 8 last year.

He’s a pretty damn good coach IMO.

He is easy to make fun of and I am not a huge fan of their style but you can't argue with his success.

Admire him much more than Self, Pitino, Pearl, Sampson.

But he is no CSP.

So Self has to play more KJ Lawson (Top 50 recruit), McCormack (Top 30 recruit), or Moore (top-60 recruit). Must be rough.

Vick saved KU’s season from being a disaster when he returned despite KU trying to cull him.

No one wants to read this, but I feel compelled:

Kansas St.: 53.6% (29.8% outright, 23.8% tied)
Iowa St.: 34.7% (14.7% outright, 20.0% tied)
Kansas: 27.1% (9.7% outright, 17.4% tied)
Texas Tech: 24.5% (8.7% outright, 15.9% tied)
Baylor: 4.7% (1.1% outright, 3.6% tied)
Texas: 2.7% (0.4% outright, 2.3% tied)
TCU: 2.0% (0.3% outright, 1.6% tied)

If there is any silver lining, it's that even though everything went as badly as possible for ISU today (both their game and others), spot ISU a win over KSU Saturday and:

Iowa St.: 51.7% (24.5% outright, 27.2% tied)
Kansas St.: 37.2% (15.3% outright, 21.9% tied)
Kansas: 28.4% (10.3% outright, 18.1% tied)
Texas Tech: 26.4% (9.5% outright, 17.0% tied)
Baylor: 5.0% (1.2% outright, 3.8% tied)
Texas: 3.1% (0.5% outright, 2.6% tied)
TCU: 2.1% (0.3% outright, 1.8% tied)

But it's close to the end for ISU if they lose:

Kansas St.: 72.9% (46.7% outright, 26.2% tied)
Kansas: 25.6% (9.0% outright, 16.6% tied)
Texas Tech: 22.4% (7.4% outright, 15.0% tied)
Iowa St.: 15.1% (3.2% outright, 11.8% tied)
Baylor: 4.5% (1.0% outright, 3.5% tied)
Texas: 2.4% (0.4% outright, 2.0% tied)
TCU: 1.7% (0.2% outright, 1.5% tied)

Considering the loss, the fact that we can have a percentage like that with a win next Saturday is huge. Let's go get it.

I was wondering if this might be the case.

The @KSU game remains massive, just because it has double impact for both teams in the race.

Hope they can bounce back like they did after the last home loss.
