Myles has had a great latter half of the season. I’d like to see the coaches really work with him to keep his hands off the receiver. He’s always in great position but has tendency to grab the receiver with both hands while the ball is in the air. This resulted in several PI flags and could have been more. You’re in great position man, just keep your hands off and get a hand on the ball! How the **** isn't Myles Purchase at least honorable mention?
Was just going to say something about this. Great job out of Brown, considering the whole dead man walking thing and thought maybe the team wouldn't play hard for him. He wasn't, and they did. But their best wins are 6-6 Tech and 6-6 UCF. Avoided Texas, Iowa State, Kansas State, and Kansas. Got to play all 4 newcomers (4-0). Beat rival Pitt in the non con, which looked good at the time, but they finished 3-9. Got beat pretty soundly by Oklahoma (59-20) and Oklahoma State (48-34). A good season, but not coach of the year IMO just based on their lack of tough schedule. I am fine with Gundy, and would have been fine with Sark, although I am glad he didn't get it. Kind of surprised to see less chatter about Leipold winning it. They were a few plays away from 9-3 or even 10-2. Campbell I feel like would have been a stretch just a bit, but not as much as Brown.Brown only played OU I believe and had a significantly easier conference slate
On a similar note, I saw another analytics graph that had us as OUs 2nd best win and Texas third best. Was just going to say something about this. I rest my case. His dad was a TE. Brian Ferentz said he doesn’t even know how to throw a ball and he was the QB coach.
You have a good point on managing 5 star players. I also noticed that Sark has good sideline game behavior & appears to be concentrating on coaching instead of riding officials. My nephew (ISU grad) is a professor at UT and my cousin's son was an attorney on the AD's staff so I have been exposed to the finer things in college football that the Longhorns enjoy. It's not a level field and OU isn't even in UT's money neighborhood. I am glad UT and all their baggage is gone but wish OU (2nd fiddle) had not tagged along.I credit Sark for doing something that no coach has been able to do since Mack Brown. If it's not the traditional side of coaching, then he's managed the egos in the room better than anyone in a long time.
But you're right. **** Texas
I’m not sure it’s fair to compare Anthony Becht to Brian Ferentz as it pertains to Rocco’s throwing motion or anything else for that matter.I rest my case.
I agree with CW here. Texas media is something else
Somewhat surprised about Noel, but there was a clear lack of elite QB and WR play across the conference compared to prior years.
Freyler is the star position. Same as eisenworth and Isheem young.Basically a strong safety/weak linebacker. Comes up in run support and covers more shallow routes. That position will always struge with deeper routes.I'm shocked. Higgins was more deserving but the big plays against KSU might have got Noel the nod.
Higgins not being on the 2nd team is probably the biggest snub for our players. I personally don't get the love for Freyler. At times he makes big plays but he's also the guy that screws up and or gets burned the most of our starters.
Kinda looks like you're combining Greg Eisworth with Breaking Bad. (just kidding, easy mistake)Freyler is the star position. You’re sorta correct. Had eisenhauer in my my head. You’re correct it’s Eisworth.Kinda looks like you're combining Greg Eisworth with Breaking Bad. (just kidding, easy mistake)

I wasn't making any comment about Mr. Becht.I’m not sure it’s fair to compare Anthony Becht to Brian Ferentz as it pertains to Rocco’s throwing motion or anything else for that matter.
There are a lot of successful QB’s that have a type of short arm mechanics.
In most instances it helps get the ball out quicker.
Depending on total body mechanics, there is no problem with velocity.
Looks a little off, but I don’t have any problem with it.
Edit:
Brock Purdy always had a classic throwing motion. Like textbook. It was his footwork and throwing base that got him into trouble at ISU. Part of his growth in the NFL they have improved his footwork and throwing base. And the results are showing.

Not to mention leading the largest seaborne invasion in history. Ike eternally bussin'Dwight D Eisenhower that guy was a motha f ing terror at safety. I remember a game where he got a sack, fumble, interception and a td all on one play. If i didn't see it with my own eyes I'd never believed it and still to this day can't explain how it happened, but it did.
