***Big 10 Thread***

How so? He's had a couple interactions with fans but I don't think it's anything too reflective of his character. If the worst thing a kid does is fire back a tweet or two in frustration I think I'd take that.

Tweeting "RELAX" after they lost their first game like he was Aaron Rodgers sticks out to me. he was really butthurt on Twitter about the ISU loss too

JFC some of you people are losers. It's no wonder we get the "little brother" mantra. Someone who plays for Iowa does that something cool-- something that every other impartial observer has found very touching and poignant and meaningful-- and you **** on it just because the kid is wearing black and yellow.

I think we need to reconsider our definition of "deuschy". Tweeting relax and letting out a little emotion regarding a game you actually participated in doesn't appear too "deuschy" to me. What does appear "deuschy", however, is the scores of Iowa State fans that have felt the need to disparage both the kid and the Street family. "Deuschy" is sitting on a message board criticizing 19 year old kids anonymously. At least that kid puts a name to what he does.

Of your 12,000+ posts you've never criticized a college athlete?

I certainly have criticized their play from time to time. I try to avoid any character attacks, but I'm sure I've done it before. I will say I try to stay relatively level headed and am not beyond giving a kid credit where credit is due just because he plays for Iowa.

Let's not forget the genesis of this whole conversation. I said he seems like a nice kid. Made a nice gesture, is well-spoken, never been in trouble, etc. You respond saying he is kind of "deuschy" because he said "RELAX" on Twitter and was "butthurt" about losing to Iowa State.

I haven't said anything either way on it. I said just I think he comes off pretty arrogant from what I've seen on Twitter

You guys are giving JoBo too much credit...... He obviously missed the free throw because Street's parents were there and when the very unfortunate accident that took a great basketball player way too soon happened, they looked to sue everyone within a 3 mile radius of the accident to make them rich while mourning the loss. Jorbo parents obviously told him to miss it to spare them any legal matters.... Been there done that.

Carry on
Jesus...

Just catching up on some things. Sounds like there's some smoke out there about someone big for Iowa leaving after this year...

Anyone that tries to find fault with Bohannon missing that free throw last night is a low life loser. I hate the Hawks with a burning passion and I think it was an extremely classy move. Had the record not been ended because of his death, then sure, Bohannon should've tried to make it. But with Street not ever getting a chance to extend the record, then I think it was the right thing to do.

I have seen the smoke on the obvious big one, but have also seen a few puffs of smoke on a big suprise one also. This one caught me off guard but does make some sense.

Is that a hint in that last sentence?

Nope, sorry, didn't think about my wording there. Does saying he's a slow footed player help? Heard a tall freshman post is discouraged about playing time and considering. Probably Cook moving on would play into his consideration.

I don't see a problem of JorBo sabotaging himself and not break Street's record.

The only issue I saw was the timing of being down by eight with two minutes left. He gambled his team's outcome on a borderline situation. Unless the team (and coaches) knew their team wasn't going anywhere, so it didn't matter, then okay. If he didn't want to break the record, he should've done it in a previous game where Iowa got blown out. Regardless, it didn't affect the outcome, so his gamble paid off.
