***Big 10 Thread***

Isn't Iowa the worst or second worst athletic departments in terms of on the field success under Barta?

Are you going Directors Cup on me?

All I give a crap about is football, mens basketball, baseball and wrestling.

Raises loads of cash, facilities are top notch, another project at Kinnick is under construction, football program is still humming along, basketball has been up and down.

I dont think hes the best AD in the country, overall pleased with him though.

I could raise money for Iowa and a lot of the money comes from TV contracts that he has nothing to do with. Plus he inherited Ferentz. He is an awful AD.

How often do you go to basketball games?
How much of a crap about baseball did you give before Heller was there and how much will you give if he leaves?

Football he didn't hire your coach and has been criticized heavily for his contract negoations with him and basketball he's 0 for 2 and even you said you hate his most recent contract he gave out. Baseball is good but that is way behind basketball and football and wrestling you're probably not even top 3 in your own conference right now. Yikes!

I don't understand how you could support him unless you are related to him. I really don't

I make 5-6 football games a year, 2-3 basketball games a year. Its hard to make a lot of basketball games with a 5 hour round trip and a couple of young kids.

I actually had a pretty good friend that played for Jack Dahm when I was going to Iowa. I started following the baseball team closely back then, would have been around 2006 or 2007. Havent stopped following since.

Aren't there just as many Sat/Sun basketball games as football games? What 2-3 are/did you go to this year?

Depends on the year and how the schedule plays out on how many weekend home games Iowa gets.

Headed to the cities for the game at Minny, closer for me than Iowa City.

Also have tickets to the IU game in the middle of February.

Buddy, isn't Barta actually reducing the number of seats at Kinnick with the North End Zone Project. Heard it was between 2 and 3 thousand. Even with that reduction, Iowa wouldn't have had any sellouts in FB last year. Barta might want to consider the same move with Carver...

Are you trying to compare a Saturday basketball game with a football one? No comparison in my mind. Football is an even with the tailgating and all. Bball is literally a two hour game.

Last I saw was it will reduce capacity by about 1500.

Should produce more revenue though.

Dont make any wrestling meets or baseball games.

So the two most important sports to you are one Barta never hired in and has been criticized for the latest contract extension and the other he's 0 for 2 on bringing in a good coach yet you think he's doing good? How is that possible?

I agree. I mean Pollard went 1 for 4 his first five hires in Football, Wrestling and Bball and also ran off the best Collegiate Wrestling coach since Gable.

Pollard brought in Prohm, Hoiberg and Campbell. That's big time.

Wrestling is wrestling, it's one of @YeahBuddy's favorite sports and he doesn't even go to them but yes I agree he didn't do well in that until he hired Dresser

Nice to get a few mulligans for sure. I'm still withholding my judgement on the Prohm hire. Willing to give you the Campbell hire though it is still very early on.l

Considering Barta hasn't hit on a coach ever at Iowa in the two major sports I don't know how you can criticize Jamie
