***Big 10 Thread***

Can't blame him for trying to find something that works.

What they are doing now isn't working.

If he would have stopped at saying that he was going to play Uhl more, I would have agreed.

For some reason I see this discussion going down something like...

Fran to assistant: (Feeling lightheaded after another tirade directed at the refs) Who's the tall kid down at the end of the bench with the goofy haircut?

Assistant: Umm that's Ryan Kriener. You just took him out after that fall away 3 that went over the back board.

Fran: NOT HIM! The other tall kid with the goofy haircut?!

Assistant: Um, Dom?

Fran: Who?

Assistant: Dom Uhl

Fran: When did he get here?

Assistant: Umm, he's a senior. He used to start for us.

Fran: What position does he play?

Assistant: Mostly power forward

Fran: Can he shoot?

Assistant: No, he's actually pretty bad at that.

Fran: Let's run him in at the 2.

Assistant: Fran, are you feeling alright? Everything ok at home?

Fran just said he is going to start using Uhl more at the 2... wow.
#length #depth #therightway

Why haven't other coaches realized that height is important for basketballing, therefore playing a forward at the 2 is a brilliant move? It seems so obvious.

So you think a possible solution to that is just to throw the 12th man in and play him more at the 2? That doesnt make any sense.

Yeah, don't think its all that close either.
I'm not even being biased...

Tyler Cook (SO): 26 MPG, 14.5 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 1.5 APG, 0.7 BPG
Cameron Lard (FR): 22 MPG, 12.1 PPG, 7 RPG, 0.7 APG, 2.2 BPG

It's insane to think those numbers included when Lard wasn't starting and was getting a bit less mins per game. I'm not saying Cook is bad AT ALL, but I'd rather have Lard 10/10 times. Those rebounding numbers for Lard don't count the 5-7 times per game he manages to tip a missed shot to Babb or Wiggy, but I can't include those in a side by side comparison because I have no idea how much Cook does it.

Do you guys think Fran has a major paranoia of players transferring and that's why he plays them all? I can't think of any other reason he'd play 11 guys.

Well the problem is that all 11 guys are about the same as far as talent goes. They have a roster full of players that should be sitting on the bench at most P5 programs outside of Cook.

We all tried to tell you that but you guys wouldn't listen. The problem with your team is you have very little talent

Cook could start for most major programs. Bohannon and Baer would get playing time at most major programs off of the bench and be solid contributors. Outside of that, not sure who else on the roster could play for a good P5 program.

I do feel that Garza is pretty decent and would contribute to a good P5 program starting next year and by the time he was a junior and senior probably even start.
