Big 10 Stinks - Northwestern

I'll give you last year. In 2002 the ISU game turned out to be a huge upset - it's just that no one knew it at the time. I don't think that an ISU that lost to then D-1AA UConn at home would have beaten Iowa at the end of the year. Like you said, upsets happen.

Not that it matters... It was UConn's first year in D1 I thought. Could be wrong though...

According to Wikipedia... 2002 was there first year in D1A

This is a great game...overtime would not be bad. Northwestern has really played tough and smart. It will come down to a kick...very soon.

Congradulations to the Big 10 for COVERING the Spread. I was impressed by Northwestern, but they were just OVERMATCHED. The Big 10 does not have the Talent that the Big 12 has. End of Discussion!!!!!!!

Although FAT and SLOW, the Big 10 might not be as pathetic as everyone says.

I'm still predicting 0-6 for the WORST CONFERENCE in the COUNTRY.

You should really go to bed now...I thought Northwestern played better than 90% of the nation thought they would. They deserved to be in this game.

Very good game to watch!

Actually, UConn's first season in D-1A was 2002, they just weren't in the Big East conference yet due to NCAA rules (although it was a foregone conclusion).

And UConn finished 6-6 - not bad really for a team playing its first ever D-1A schedule ever (not that we had any excuse to lose to them)...

I don't know if Mizzou was lucky, they played horrible, especially Chase, but they still made enough plays to win the game. Mizzou was outcoached, and NW was better prepared, but Mizzou still won by 7.... what does that say? If Pinkel had any brains, or Daniel plays a normal game, it could have been ugly. But it wasn't, just a win. I really like NW's coach.
