I'm going to say this isn't the last season based on AMC not hyping the hell out of it and stating that fact during every preview. I could certainly see them splitting up one longer final season over two years......as annoying as that is.

I'm going to say this isn't the last season based on AMC not hyping the hell out of it and stating that fact during every preview. I could certainly see them splitting up one longer final season over two years......as annoying as that is.
I bet there is one more season, it could be 1/2 season, or a full season, but who knows. The show has an adept level of being able to make short periods of time last for episodes, and also jump long periods of time ahead, and make sense, while other shows have to stick to the same pace to be successful.
I would have to think that is just the natural and expected evolution of a long-term association with Saul, putting up with all his scheming and shenanigans. Probably not just one seminal moment, rather a steady decline into dispair.
Jimmy + helping old retirees = bubbly Francesca; Saul + dealing with "criminal" lawyer clientele = Jaded & grumpy
Production value and attention to detail with this show is phenomenal and makes it that much more enjoyable for me. Look up "BCS Easter Eggs" or "call backs" and you'll uncover a ton of tibits and tie-ins like this. Really incredible what they do with their art form.
Anyone else thinking the whole crew working on the undergroud lab is not going to make it back to Germany? I definitely did not expect "Let's do it again" from Kim with regard to the Huel case shenanigans. This show is heating up, very excited for the last few episodes of the season.
I was very surprised that Kim said that as well. I thought they reason they wouldn't end up together would be all on Jimmy but that might not be the case.
And for some reason I just thought about this. This whole lab is underground and suppose to be secret, which is why you access it from under a large piece of equipment. But what about this elevator shaft they used in BB and are now constructing in BCS? That has to be accessible from ground level I assume so that seems hard to hide.
I'm excited for the introduction of Lalo. I think that he's going to be brutal, and it will bring some tense excitement to the season - I foresee some sort of power struggle between him and Nacho. I'm curious how Jimmy will get drawn in. Clearly Jimmy thinks Nacho is still alive in season 2 of Breaking Bad, so I'm curious how those fake IDs will come into play, or if they're just to show that he's got an insurance policy for if things go bad.
I have to admit that I don't love the Kim character - she's very non-emotive and robotic, even when she's feeling strong emotions. I get that is the point of her character, and it makes her strong - but they sort of also use it to make it seem like a downfall, which takes away from the strong female role. I like the idea of her finding some excitement while still being in control, so I like the idea of her getting more excited about things. Part of me wonders if this is going to lead her down a road that is eventually fatal, and that's part of what causes Jimmy to entirely give up on going "straight."

I believe so. She's an interesting character - she has this strong moral code and need to make things right by helping others, but then she's got her diabolical side. I like that Gilligan layers characters.

Perhaps there is another way to look at Kim. As I will agree, I get frustrated with her at times, but I think it is more "what is going on in your head?" Like her staring at the building models, etc. Clearly, she was having a moment, but we didn't get a clear glimpse into her thoughts like we do other characters.
I think Kim is less robotic, and more non-telegraphic. I think her character holds her cards really really close to the vest. Her grey suits, her simple pony tail, just part of her mask. Her "smokin" with Jimmy in the garage about the only crack in her armor.
After she saw the real side of her idols at H&M, and now the banker guy, she is getting really jaded to white, male, corporate America. That scene where the banker questioned Paige's judgment to Kim, you could just sense the disdain dripping off of Kim.
As much as I liked BB, BCS is doing some character development, both in writing and acting. Makes the over doing it character development of TWD and FTWD that they pride themselves on look like its child's play.
They do. It's one of those weird desert neighborhoods where only half the lots are built on and you can't tell if it's nice or trashy from an aerial view.
