I've got the best wife! Just surprised me with tickets to the Seahawks-Vikings Playoff Game this Sunday for myself, my son, and son-in-law! Wow! Gonna be cold, but gonna be a memory!

Just looking for CF advice for parking at TCF. Is it better to try to park near the stadium, in nearby parking ramps, or at the mall and ride the train?

Go Vikings!

This seems more like a ticket for her to make you be in the freezing cold while she is sipping on some pinot noir and laughing her butt off.

My first thought too. She's getting the boys out of the house so she can watch her rom coms and drink wine.:biglaugh:

Park at the fairgrounds and ride the bus. More spendy than the train ($20) but only takes about 5 minutes each way. Also can tailgate in the lot.

I'd definitely look into using the light rail. So much nicer not having to worry about a car and parking. Plus the train dumps you off right in front of the stadium. I've taken it twice this past fall for a gopher game and a Vikings/Chiefs game and had good experiences both times.

The only draw back I can see is that the ticket line for the green line going west can get pretty long after the game. The line does move fast though.

Enjoy the game. I don't much care for many things on the U of M campus, but TCF bank is a nice stadium to watch a game.

Or is she the worst wife and trying to kill you? :)

JK, sounds awesome. Root the Vikes on!

If you plan on grabbing food/drinks beforehand, Joe Sensors in Roseville has a great shuttle service. Done that several times and have always had great luck!

Take the light rail. Warm up with some Loon Cafe chili afterwards, just North of Target Center.

Do shots of Cinny Jack with C-Willy before the game.

Sunny and 75. Wear shorts and a T-shirt. Gonna be a scorcher.

Have you ever considered that your wife is trying to kill you? Odds of dying from hypothermia are about 1 in 8,000 or so.

Maybe she isn't so great afterall. She innocently convinces you to up your life insurance policy. She gets you tickets to the game. She sends along a bottle of whisky to "keep you warm". She tells your son and son-in-law to make sure "dad has a good time", encouraging alcohol consumption which is a major risk factor to hypothermia deaths.

You say greatest wife ever. I say cold-blooded, calculating killer. Either that, or I have watched too many episodes of Dateline lately.

Tickets are so cheap I have even considered taking the kids and I'm not even a Vikings fan. It would be a great experience for the kids even if they only last a half.

That's a cool surprise. It will be a great memory- the beginning of the Z playoff era as the Vikes roll on to the Super Bowl in 2018.

Are you accepting applications to be your son in law? If so I have a job, no tattoos, only been to jail once (I blame the alcohol) and graduated from Iowa State. Skol Vikes!

If you seriously want to go, you can still find a pair of upper level endzone tickets for as low as $35 each and lower level endzone for $58 each.
