Best ISU Dunk Ever?

Some of the Grayer dunks blur together for me.

The one I remember most clearly, he got the ball inside, had two defenders basically draped on his shoulders and he went straight up for a jam.

Makes me feel really old having to describe dunks, as opposed to posting video clips.:twitcy:

After only really experiencing Clark, the Grayer dunks in this thread are kind of

The Clark dunk against Virginia is great because the game was on ESPN and the crowd was juiced before the dunk even happened. The Grayer reverse was something out of Clark's league though.

For his size, Terrence Allen was one of the best dunkers I've ever seen. Did not see the Nebraska game but I seem to remember some sort of half court, throw in, alley-oop to TA that was amazing.

It might be the TA dunk I recall — but in the pre-extensive-video-stream era, I think my memory isn't 100 percent reliable.

Didn't Allen do an alley-oop vs. the Twin Towers vs. Iowa in the '83-84 season? (Probably on an assist from Hornacek). It seems like both Allen and Ronnie Virgil did it late in the same game, but maybe only one of those were actual dunks.

That one (or "both") don't qualify as "best ever," but in the framework of the game itself, it was in-your-face decisive.

I welcome any responses that will set me straight on details.

I remember the UVA game in 2004.. I was in Cyclone Alley and right behind the basket that it happened on. It was honestly a surreal moment, but I have to say DUNKWISE it was not even close to Clark's best dunk, I'm sorry. The reason why that was so great is because of everything that happened before. It was a good dunk in itself, but it wasn't really that amazing IMO. The best overall play I've seen in real life though.

I do remember in like 2006 or 2005 against UNI and Rahshon Clark jumped over like 4 or 5 guys for a rebound dunk. It's in that top 10 video of his, but I was at the game and remembering the ENTIRE crowd in a stunned silence. Honestly nobody knew what had happened, but we knew Clark had jumped sky high over tons of people. I wish the video quality was better, because the dunk was unreal in person.

I wish Fizer could have gone right over top Mihm instead of off to the side... would have made it better.

My favorite would be the Mike Taylor 360 at Nebraska.

Best dunk by another team in Hilton? Willie Warren over Hamilton.

VEISHEA, 1992. It was a long weekend.

Oh, DUNK! I thought you meant something else.

I don't remember the particulars of that game, but I think you are right. A couple smaller guys making huge plays against Iowa. I think we won in double OT????
