I currently have Direct TV but they dropped Versus channel. I looked into switching to Dish Network but they don't carry Fox College Sports (FCS). So I'm forced to choose between getting Versus or FCS. I'm trying to think of which channel has aired the most ISU games over the last few years??

I'd stick with DirecTV for the time being. VS needs DirecTV more than DirecTV needs VS.

I think more games were on FCS last year. I also think VS. and DTV will work this out in the near future.

Clearly DirecTV or Mediacom.

Versus will reconcile with Directv shortly though. They can't afford not to, and DirecTV won't let it last long either. I suspect it'll be back in time for the weekend.

DirecTV is a huge subscriber base for them to lose out on. And with their strong ties to sports fans, (stuff like Sunday Ticket), DirecTV needs Vs and Vs needs DirecTV. There is no way they don't work this our and do it fast. Especially with all the football coming up on that network.

ISU had four games on FCS last year and only two on Versus. DirecTV was also the only provider that had every televised ISU game last year. I'd stick with DirecTV.

EDIT: Don't know where you are and if you have Mediacom available, but I think they have both Versus and FCS. The only game they didn't have last year that DirecTV did was UNLV on the Mountain West's network. And of course Mediacom has the exclusive on the opener this year.

I think VS. will be back on soon, but Comcast does own the network and there's an ugly background between DirecTV and Comcast.

DirecTV would love nothing more than to have CSN Philly on it's lineup, but Comcast is using a loophole in FCC regs to keep CSN Philly exclusive to cable and off of both DirecTV and Dish Network and because of this, Philadelphia is one of the smallest satellite markets in the country.

Edit: Not to mention, Comcast is asking for a pretty penny for Comcast Sports Northwest (Trailblazers and Oregon football) and because of this, CSN NW is exclusive to Comcast cable only.

That all makes sense. I'll stop freakin and wait it out. I live in NW Iowa so Mediacom is out. Then again if I was close enough for Mediacom I would just get season tickets.

The only advantage DirecTV/Mediacom have over Dish Network in regards to Cyclone Football is FCS. Someday Dish Network will pick up FCS or maybe we'll be good enough to never be on that channel ;-). Of course, it's not really a channel, just a network that randomly turns on at game time.
