So I found this on Campus this fall. Pretty sure it's a professors based off where it was parked. Not necessarily ISU related, but still pretty clever.

Every state is different I think. When moving from Iowa to Indiana, my plates were fine until the tags expired, but I had to get an Indiana ID within 30 days of establishing residency.

When moving to Hawaii from Indiana, I could keep my Indiana plates until the tags expired, but had to pay for a permit for the out of state plates (15 bucks). My Indiana ID is good until it expires though.
