Best Blender?

As a bachelor I practiced the disposable blender method, probably owned 12-15 different cheap models and was just fine with it. The wife didn't love that idea and sprung for the Ninja you linked with wedding gift cards, it's been great so far, we use it nearly daily for smoothies and it gets lots of use from mixed drinks as well. I'm pretty impressed with it but like I said, my previous experience is with the cheapest, crappiest blenders on the market.

I agree with this, we had one before the vitamix. It worked well and was still working when we gave it away.

I just smash my ice with a big hammer, 15 bucks and lots of life left. Healthier also, because it burns calories.
