Bernstine over LJ?

Someone in the AFC West should pick him up just so he can knock out Tony Moeaki twice a year when they play the Cheifs.

I agree. Someone is going to knock "Glass Jaw" Moeaki out of the league soon enough. It might as well be LJ.

Does it really matter if each catch he had was "contested"? Isn't the point of being a defensive back to keep the receiver from catching the ball? Blackmon got his, and there wasn't much LJ could do about it. That's not a knock on the guy, Blackmon is just that good.

You're easily my favorite hawk fan, what would do without your ignorant posts. You might try watching the game before you provide your analysis.

Bernstine is a great athlete, it doesn't surprise me that he got drafted. He has a better chance of making an NFL roster than LJ.

Oh, I didn't watch the game? That's weird. I didn't know I had a stalker.

I assumed since you obviously have no knowledge about the game that you didn't watch it.

If you did watch you would know that Lj picked a pass intended for blackmon and deflected another that got picked off too. He also forced multiple incompletions in a performance that got a lot of praise from people who know a lot more about football than you or I.

Johnson also missed a tackle on Blackmon several times, didn't get turned around on a deep ball that led to an OSU touchdown, picked up a PI call when OSU was backed up in their own endzone, and got seal blocked by Blackmon multiple times on outside rushes. Not to mention the interception was on a tipped ball that most college CB's would have been able to make a play on. And that's just off the top of my head. Like I said, LJ did the best he could, and he did a fair job covering Blackmon. But Blackmon clearly won the head to head battle, and it was no where NEAR as close as Iowa State fans make it out to be.

If I remember correctly Blackmon made a pretty stellar play on that TD pass. Didn't he almost have turn around in mid air? The throw was pretty high and off to his left.

Yes, it was an excellent catch that not many college WR's could make. But that doesn't change the fact that LJ didn't get turned around in time to make a play on the ball.

This is why your my favorite, when you find yourself in a hole you keep digging. Not to mention a complete failure to understand football. In what altered reality is 2 picks to one touchdown, and holding him under his season average(and only 40 yards after halftime) clearly a win by the WR?

I'm sure the Hawks could have done better. They play in the B1G where the defense rules.

Blackman's per game averages:
Catches- 9.3
Yards- 117

Against Iowa State:
Catches- 10
Yards- 99

Let's use an analogy here. If Kevin Durant (PPG avg: 28, FG%: 49.6) is held to 24 points on 8/15 shooting, was he "shut down" by the opposition? The answer is no. They played good defense on him, but he still dominated the game.

On day 1 of the NFL draft.
