Bernstine over LJ?

Another fun fact for those referring back to the OSU game. Blackmon said he was the most physical CB he went against all year.

He's a little short and his 40 at the Combine killed him. No GM is wanting to answer to the fans, etc, that they drafted a CB with a 4.71 40 time. Scouts don't care if Leonard was sick at the Combine

It is what it is. That said, his character is several layers higher than the thug from Des Moines who played corner for the HOKS

Character doesn't really matter in the later rounds

I thought the same when i saw parter drafted. What did i miss over the last 4 years that shows LJ as an off field issue? He didnt do anything wrong and was by far better than prater or berstine... He also gets in peoples heads, which is perfect for a corner in the NFL. Actually a must.

LJ will make a team, and be better than both of those hawks, and other corners taken ahead of him im sure.

I remember him gang-banging and busting heads with his friends armed with baseball bats-- in the middle of the night in D.M. the summer before his freshman year @ Iowa. Seeking revenge on some other thugs kicking his little 14-yr old brother's arse earlier in the night. Of course, the 14-yr was out at 3am (fast-fwd to 2012 and heading to jail?) and their mom was arrested at 4-5am same night

exactly, dont care what Blackmon had against LJ or our team. He was taken out of the game compared to what he is used too, and we won because of it.

LJs speed was the only issue, and the only reason he is not taken yet. He more than makes up for that speed during games by being physical and smart. He will be a great pickup.
 
LJ is probably not athletic enough for most scouts. Guys being picked in the later rounds are usually projects that have great combines and workouts.
 
Yeah because they couldn't their out on us and the middle of our d-line was parting like the red sea
