Bergstrom Complex

How do you get into the business of telling researching this sort of thing. That's a nice chunk of change for a report that says yes you need this.

They don't turn in a report with the "Yes" box checked.

A decked out all players lounge is really nice for fball players..it def adds to recruitng to Isu..prob well worth it..

Honestly one major thing missing is a new Press box..badly..with all the new revenue I'd think they would be all over. That. Then again it really doesn't add to revenue...unless they also built it with high $$ suites which they should.

We don't have the demand for additional suites.

CPR said they didn't really need one, blue collar, work environment...etc. Likely there wasn't enough in the budget at the time, so they didn't include one.

Lol his hard-hat shtick and "no players lounge" angle worked great

Always thought it ridiculous giving a head coach on the warm seat and a strength coach so much latitude on designing or having so much input in a multi- million dollar facility.

And we got stuck with no players lounge and treadmills

While I don't disagree with you, they are the ones designing the training programs.

Yes they made the decisions on spending priorities. It didn't work and they are no longer here. Interesting take on paste priorities and other potential better choices.

The project manager is an ISU employee, and $48k is his budget to do the study. So that includes his hourly time spent plus anything he hires out to be done - surveying, hiring other engineering firms to do load/electrical/plumbing calculations, etc. It's for project feasibility (sufficient infrastructure, space, etc.), not "do we need it." I suspect Pollard/others already think we need it otherwise they wouldn't do a feasibility study.

Not sure if serious but the business is called engineering/architecture/planning. ISU wants to expand Bergstrom but you don't just show up with Joe Builder and start working. You compile a report of what's there, what the client wants and what it will take to do it.

It's not a machine shed on a farm.

Yes I know there is more to it than a simple yes or no. Its just crazy they don't know what they have in place for this sort of thing and what they don't. Its not like these are 50 year old buildings we are talking about. Granted I am no engineering or architecture but I have been part of plenty of projects and we always make sure everything was in place to make it easy for future projects.

Who would have? The AD? President? You have the people that are in position and use it daily design the facility even if they will only be there for a year.

Every coaching change causes renovation/change of equip.

The original plans should be available. Should make it easy for a small team to identify existing systems. They're basically paying a firm to design them something, 'if' of course they need it.
