Beautiful Day Beer Thread

I just drove all over WDM and NO ONE has Summer Shandy in 12 pack bottles. I didn't feel like overpaying for two six packs, so I am trying something new...Shandy in cans. It's just not the same.

Just got back from the driving range(game needs work), gonna fire up the grill for some new york strips and have some Fat Tire. Wish I could get Longboard somewhere around here.....had it in Hawaii(it's local there) on honeymoon 2 1/2 years ago and it was awesome!!!

My everyday beer the last few months has been Lucky Bucket Lager out of Lavista, Ne. They have expanded distribution as far east as Harlan recently. I haven't had a chance yet to try their IPA that was just released. The draft of Certified Evil that I got to try while on a recent brewery tour is probably the best beer that I have ever tasted. It's a Belgium Strong Ale blend aged for a year in Cabernet barrels.

I found my 12 pack at the Hy-Vee on Fluer.

I think I will be ok...maybe. Don't really want to drive that far for beer, but have before. No beer on Sundays in South Carolina, but 20 miles north in NC there is!! Did that a lot during football season.

Dude, I lived in dry county Alabama bout half hour from Mississippi. Made that drive ALOT and it sucked!!!

finishing the few miller high lifes I have left. Ah summer shandy my favorite summer beer!!!

Makes you wonder where Old Glarus is.

About 80 km southeast of Zurich in (you guessed it) Switzerland.

Google Maps

They're still selling 1888 Bock as the Leinie's seasonal down here as of last weekend. Shandy should show sometime soon. St. Arnolds Summer Pils is about to head out of their new brewery tomorrow - probably pick some up this weekend. Other than that, my dunkelweizen is 19 days away from being ready.

Just cracked one of the last Shiner Frost. Got 3 days in Wisconsin coming next weekend. Will have to hit up all the New Glarus I can - except for at the wedding I'm going to, which is DRY. FML.

On a side note, I've been pondering what to make for a summer homebrew in the next few weeks - so I have it ready for 4th of July. Any suggestions?
