I'm not expecting a blow out... It could happen, but I'd be surprised... Bears are beat up and the game is at Jack Trice where weird stuff happens to opponents, especially at night.
This is a game where the casual fan will be expecting a blowout but those who have played ISU in Ames before are somewhere between worried and cautiously optimistic
I too think it will be closer than many expect. Baylor probably only wins by 30 or 40.I'm not expecting a blow out... It could happen, but I'd be surprised... Bears are beat up and the game is at Jack Trice where weird stuff happens to opponents, especially at night.

Last time we tried to onside kick against Baylor, we got offsides called on the kicker.
LaQuan McGowan, our mountain of a LG (6-8, 415), had a left leg injury in the Buffalo game. He splits snaps at LG, and I honestly have no clue if he'll be back.
Didn't Utah and that shaky guy drop 177 on us? Or did only feel that way?
Game plan. Onside kicks and fake punts.... Keep their O off the field.
Hey guys,
Great win over the hated Hawkeyes. Way to represent the conference. As some have mentioned in this thread, we're really banged up early in the season. Antwan Goodley aggravated a quad injury in the first quarter of the SMU game and is yet to catch a pass this season. He *should* be back for the game, but we'll see.
Corey Coleman, who was supposed to be our #2 WR this season, hasn't played yet this year with a hamstring injury in the preseason. He is also projected to be back, but he's had a history of muscle pulls, so who knows.
Clay Fuller, WR who was our 4th leading returning WR, is out for the game with a broken collarbone suffered in the preseason.
Levi Norwood, our #2 returning receiver is out for this game due to wrist surgery on an injury he suffered in the SMU game. He's also our punt returner.
Devin Chafin, our #2 RB (and "big back") only played a few snaps in the opener vs SMU, aggravated a groin injury, and has not played since. He is tentatively scheduled to be back.
Tre'Von Armstead, our starting TE has been in and out with a nagging injury, but he should be ok for the game.

I'm not expecting any sympathy from you guys, as you have had way more than your share of guys go down with season-ending injuries, just wanted to provide an update.
No the ref called it on #7. It was just so terrible of a call since no ISU player other than the kicker was inside of 1 yard of the LOS that the guys in the booth were sermising that they must have called it on the kicker. Terrible, terrible call.
Wow, that is a mountain of a man, even for an offensive lineman. Even at 6-8 if he is 4 bills he has to be a big tub of goo.
Other than winning a defaulted game 1-0, explain how a team scores a single point.

It is possible, although highly highly unlikely.
Or hit Bryce Petty the first play of the game in the small of the back, do it late if you have to. Serve them right for running up the score last year.

Could someone please hire Art Briles away from that program?
FIFYCould someone outside the Big XII please hire Art Briles away from that program?
Unless it's ISU. Though what would we do with Rhoads, Mangino, and Briles?Ah- good catch. Thank you.
