Beat Baylor

I'm concerned about KD Cannon. I think we need to make sure it is Tribune on him at all times. Then again, they had a RS Freshman receiver on the other side that this past weekend caught for 123 yds and a couple of TD's. Anyone know if Antwan Goodley is out for the season, or will we see him back for this game?

Our top 4 WR's have been out

Antwan Goodley
Corey Coleman
Levi Norwood
Clay Fuller

We expect to have Antwan Goodley and Corey Coleman back for ISU.

Art has still never won in Ames and our run game has been stagnant so far. It'll be a close game either way.

I am not saying ISU will beat Baylor.. But remember OSU's 2011 offense? they put up conference scores of 70-28 over Kansas and 66-6 over Tech, 6 days prior to the ISU game.

Baylors Offense is nothing new. High powered O is nothing new to Wally. Now stopping it is another thing. We have 2 weeks to prep. Gotta like that. Nite game should be electric!

Even better explaination:

College football rules allow either team to score a one-point safety after a touchdown. Say that Team B blocks Team A's extra-point attempt, and a player on Team B picks up the ball on the 1-yard line. Looking for an opening, the player with the ball runs backwards voluntarily into his end zone, where he is tackled. Team A receives one point for the conversion safety, and the score is now 7–0. Team A then kicks off from its own 30-yard line, as after any touchdown. A conversion safety has occurred at least once in the NCAA, in a game between Texas and Texas A&M in 2004. Following the Longhorns TD from a blocked punt, the ensuing PAT was blocked and recovered by a Texas A&M player on the one yard line. The player tried to make a return, but was tackled in his own endzone for a one point safety.
Although exceedingly unlikely, college football's rules also allow the defensive team to score a one-point conversion safety on a PAT or conversion try. One possible scenario: Team B blocks Team A's extra-point attempt, and a player on Team B picks up the loose ball and runs towards the opposite end zone. Before reaching the goal line, he fumbles the ball and it is recovered by a player from Team A, who then voluntarily runs into his own (Team A's) end zone and is tackled. Team B would score one point for the conversion safety and the score would then be 6–1.

I like the idea of The Wizard and Mangenius having two weeks to prepare for this. I think this is a (relatively) close game.

This Baylor team is better than that OSU team. Petty is 5 times the QB as Weeden.

after watching OSU pound Oklahoma the next week and the way they played against stanford, I still have no idea how we didn't lose to OSU by 50

Jack Trice will be electric and their Offense will score, but they will not be able to run. With a balanced Offensive attack and Sam two weeks to work with Lazard we will definitely put up a fight.

I hope you are right, but forgive me if I am skeptical. I thought the problem with iowa's rushing attack was they didn't have any backs with the speed to get to the edge. That won't be a problem for Baylor.

Cyclones fight, fight, fight! That is what I want to see. Make them rethink coming here for an easy win.

I might not even go to this game, or ill be leaving by halftime

Had a buddy who told his family to sell their Ok St tickets in 2011 because "there was no way we'd win". Ended up missing the best game in ISU football history. Bottomline: if you have tickets, go.

Yes. And if you went into that game with the attitude of "I'll probably leave by halftime" you probably missed the comeback against Okie St.

ISU is totally battle tested. Baylor has played nobody...just nobody. If ISU can punch them in the mouth, and remember Baylor is a different team on the road, we have a chance. I like the fact that ISU comes in to the game having really been in the fire for three games. Baylor hasn't played anyone with a pulse since 2013. Will be interesting to see how Baylor responds to actually playing somebody...and on the road no doubt.
