I think I heard somewhere that this WVU news source where the rumors originated from is literally garbage, so it's probably/definitely not true. But who knows.

Chauncey Billups and Jason Kidd did worse than Beard and their legal issues were barely brought up during their hires. Why would Beard be any worse from a pr standpoint?
Time elapsed, and also NBA vs. college. He will absolutely work again, but the idea of him going immediately to a high major program is ludicrous.
His buyout is pretty hefty and has years on it.
Beard was let go for cause and is probably a "free agent."

Marshall has no buyout. He was paid to leave. He's been a free agent ever sense. Apples to apples.
Gregg Marshall had several abuse allegations from victims who to my knowledge haven't recanted. Beard had one incident withnessed by nobody else, and the victim has walked her claims back.
I 1000% believe Beard is a piece of **** that railroaded his fiancee, but I could see an administrator hiding behind the victim's reversal as a reason to not hold the incident against him.

Doesn't Marshall still have years left on the buyout? Are you 100% positive that he can just start working and zero % of the buyout goes away?

Yes Surly, I know he's owed payouts, that's why I said there's years left.
Again, does anyone know terms with employment with it though?
Said earlier that Ole Miss would be a good place for Beard. Guys, the SEC doesn't sit players who hand out guns to murderers, why would they care about Beard's unproven acquisitions?
