Hey Guys,

Baylor fan here and I wanted to invite everyone to participate and attend our tailgate area.

We typically cook 275 lbs of meat along with sides and fixins' for everyone to enjoy and we welcome all visiting fans.

Our typical menu consists of the following:

Smoked Brisket

Smoked Sausage Links

Hot Wings

Smoked Pork Shoulder

Ranch Beans with hamburger and bacon

Potato salad

Pickles, onions, jalapenos,etc.

Sodas and bottled waters

Adult beverages are BYOB, but plenty of folks will share.

I'll put up a map and more details but we are located at 29th St and Dutton St at the ESPN Tailgate Zone.

We usually have at least a thousand there and typically 2,000 plus for conference games.

Please consider joining us for football, friends, food, and fun!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have and I'll be happy to answer.

I hope to see you guys out there.

Thanks,

Mike

Visiting fans are always welcome and are always treated well... I have to say that it's some of the best Brisket I've ever had in my life... and the beans with the hamburger and bacon are awesome!

Just look for the Bearmobile (Big Green School Bus) and the tent right on the corner of 29th and Dutton.

redfish and Trey do an outstanding job of putting this on at all the home games and Bowl games (at the Alamo Bowl in 11 they set up in the parking lot at Back Stage Live with a band and served about 5000 people)

Y'all come on out and enjoy... I promise you will enjoy the tailgate...I make no such promises about how well you will enjoy the game. :spinny:

Is this a donations-type thing or is there a cost associated? Might be a dumb question.

We do have a contribution jug set up at the food table, but it's not mandatory.

Throw something in if you want and don't if you'd rather not...either way, enjoy some food, football, friends, and fun.

Now that's a PARTY! Wish I could be there, I think I would just eat until I went into a food coma. MMMMM Brisket!!

I wish you could guarantee unlimited adult beverages. That Baylor offense is fun to watch but not as an opposing fan, being real drunk for it will at least help me not care and just enjoy the game!!

That is very generous of you, wish I could make it down. Hopefully we can return the favor for ya next season. I'm also now starving, thanks a lot!

Guys, redfish does it up right.

I also saw some misconceptions in the other thread --- you can tailgate after the game all you want. You are not expected to pack up and leave immediately -- folks will be tailgating for quite some time after the game.

You CAN tailgate much earlier than 4 hours before the game. It's usually open at 8:00 AM regardless of gametime, but you can probably get in anytime you want. Redfish and his crew are usually there around 8-9.

The parking is a bit different than in years past -- I'm not familiar with it because I know where I park, but I just have heard they've changed it up a bit. If you're there early enough, it's not going to matter.

Enjoy yourselves! I'd be shocked if there is anyone who is anything except completely welcoming and cordial.

Man, I wish I could go to this. I do one away game a year and Manhattan won the prize this year. I want to see the new addition they added to the front of their stadium. Seeing BUs new stadium next time might have to be on the agenda though.

we carry our own adult beverages in a cooler to the tailgate... We have never been hassled...

Unless you are just ******** and can't hold your booze, no one will mess with you... just don't try to take it into the stadium... a few got escorted out during WVU for that...

My wife and I took a 12 pack of Corona's and a fifth of Knob Creek to the WVU tailgate and no one said a word other than, "can I have some?"

Sounds great.

P.S. Now we know how Baylor gets those 5* recruits. "Deep Pockets Redfish!" Just kidding.
