Just seeing whose all going down to Waco in a couple. There will be a crew of 6 of us with 5 leaving from central Iowa and one coming up from Houston. We were wondering where everyone was planning on tailgating, and if anyone who had been to Waco had tips about where we should set up tailgates. I've been on the Baylor boards, and they make it sound like if we should up 6hrs prior, like we're used to here, we'll have zero competition for spots, but they also make it sound like we have to park on peoples lawns too, which would kind of suck. So, whose all gonna be there, and who knows what to do, lol?

there's plenty of parking, most of it unpaved though.

there might be a few hundred people there 6 hours before kick.

east (visitor's) side lot is probably the best place.

alcohol has to go into a cup.

I always see the big "O" behind the name - figured it was part of it. But honestly - only been drunk there :)

I'm sure the tent. Isn't that the place to be for all Baylor home games anyway?

it's a good place to do that.

during the day, I'm sure the restaurant will be packed watching all the other games, once the RRS ends, people will start migrating from where ever to the tent.

Lots of grass parking in a lot just north of the stadium (not peoples lawns) You can park really close to the stadium. Got there about 3 hours before the stadium and NOBODY was there. I think the DFW cyclone club will have a tailgate there before the game if you are looking for ISU fans to hang with. We waited until getting down there to buy tickets. Bought two for 5 bucks total. You can just walk over and sit with the ISU fans as there was plenty of room. I dont know what kind of crowds they are getting now.

I don't remember exactly which side of the stadium I was on (seemed like South) but there was TONS of room 3 hours prior. Only two things to watch out for would be the lack of restrooms and bring cups for the adult beverages. We made quick friends with a Clonie in an RV so we did not explode.....

I was wondering something from any ISU or Baylor fans on this site. The last time we played each other it was dubbed to "Skunk River Shootout". I still laugh at that one. The way the story goes, Baylor was tired of its state only talking about the red river shootout going on that week. They contacted the Ames tourism department and asked what river was nearest to Ames. From there they named the game. Is anyone going to continue calling the meeting of our two teams by that? I personally thought it was hilarious. Not sure if that story is valid or not though.

Will be there. Tried to find a room, but it's parent's weekend. Found a B&B in Hillsboro, about 40 miles away.

I'll be on the 50 yd line! Only stadium you can probably pull that off for $40 a ticket, lol. Staying in Ft. Worth since the Baylor hotels are stuffed.

I'm heading up from Houston with 5 others. We were planning on getting there about lunch time, and it sounds like we'll be okay just winging it. Everyone's sure using a cup works? I'd hate to get there and not be able to drink my BL.
