Prince was a beast but Medford made the plays down the stretch, they are an entirely different team than last year. Much more perimeter oriented.
I'm still curious about their PG role this year.

How's KState looking Surly? Not being snarky just haven't looked around to the rest of the B12 yet.
I can't speak for Surly, but I've seen K State play a couple of times and they sure seem to be improved. They have some freshmen that are pretty good. They hung with North Carolina for nearly the whole game too.
Watched most of the game. Great win Baylor and way to represent, minus the horrible crowd for a top 25 matchup. I love this time of year and cheering on the rest of the big 12 even kansas. Id say its been a great non conference thus far for big 12, wish Kansas could have beat MSU
I know people like to make fun of him, but I think Drew has developed into a pretty dang good coach.
Cats are probably way better than anyone thought they would be before the season, which was generally 'dreadful.' Last year too often taints our understanding of the future, both ways. That would be the case here.
Dean Wade, the great white hope, next Larry Bird, Jack Sikma, or whatever the small town Kansas kid is labeled by those who closely follow K-State, is, indeed, an interesting piece. 6'10" with good handles and a sweet jump shot.
Guards have been recruited, Brown, Ervin and Stokes, who can actually dribble, pass, guard and shoot free throws. Whew!
Returners Wes Iwundu and Justin Edwards are playing fine presently. Wes is particularly gifted athletically, but Edwards is scoring well too. Unfortunately, neither has a good jump shot. It seems everything for them is off the dribble finishing in the paint or it isn't happening.
K-State is soft at #5. Hurt doesn't harm anyone with a pulse. But DJ Johnson is back off injury, so that's a help.
I'd guess .500 or slightly better in league play, an NCAA bubble team. Tough as hell in the Octagon, if fans start attending games which hasn't been the case to this point in time.

I've been impressed with their play so far. Should have won that game against UNC but had a few mental breakdowns in the last minute.
Well MJ, I was asked and gave my biased opinion. And, bosco, they lost to UNC because, mostly, of K-State's youth, not their talent.

The biggest gap in the league this year will probably be between teams #5 and #6. Iowa State, Oklahoma, Baylor, West Virginia, and Kansas look to be solidly in the top half. But I could see really any of the other teams finishing 6th if they figure it out faster than the others. K-State has a shot at that.
I started liking him after he congratulated them in their locker room, during the tournament two years ago.
Based on last night, they'll still have an attacking, scoring PG. Medford was amazing down the stretch last night, Vandy had no answer. From the looks of things early in the season, they'll almost totally depend on perimeter scoring.

Also worth noting, they were down double digits in the 2nd half but Prince and Medford lead them back. Vandy is going to win a ton of games in the watered down SEC, this was a huge win for the league, especially if their only 2 non con losses end up being to big 12 teams.
Baylor should get a lot of credit for their schedule, they have true road games @ Oregon and A&M, plus this game with Vandy.

Helps to have played that one at home; still a nice win and, again, easy for me to root for Baylor last night. Someone has to, their fans seem not at all interested. Vandy's overrated. Still, Coach Drew doesn't get his due, as also said above by someone.
